Guy came in three days ago and bought a little 58 plate Clio PX 43k with 15 services with receipts, two keys , Cam belt last year and 4 yrs ago too , 4 new Michelin tyres , new discs , immaculate condition inside and out . £2,295 . Left us fully serviced and new MOT . Guy comes looks at it , likes it , makes a comment that its the one for him with it only having one owner from new and the history too . Will i take £2,000 "NO " sorry its a proper genuine little thing its £2,295 . So he took it away , just now he calls to tell me he's found 4 cars all same at £1,495x2 , £1,795 and even one at £1,395 so will i do a deal at his requested £2,000 , really are they all 43k with that history I say . Top and bottom they've all done 80k plus , and only one mentioned cam belt . I did say the car was already his as he paid for it , so the deals the deal because you liked the history , and low miles . Well would i give him a free service next year then , NO as Iv'e just done a free service for you Bloody hell just bring it back every week and I'll wash it hoover it , fill it with petrol and wax the thing for him .

Did anyone read this Lawgistics account.Guy who purchased by credit card wants to reject after several months on the grounds that he was not informed that his Cat converter could easily be stolen ( which I think it was) and therefore his car was not fit for purpose.Lawgistics had to deal with the credit card company to throw out the claim.....whatever next.

I actually think its quite quiet for a lot a people taking to friends and other traders its that time of year again I also find some people always say there busy or ticking over because they don't want to admit there not at this time of year one guy i know is always busy yet when you drive past his place the same stock been sitting in the same place since November only thing i would say is a better camera some better pics i don't mind the videos your ads in general are ok as they are but as others have said personalise it a bit more to the particular car good luck

Firstly can i say.'Fair play ' for asking for your adverts to be critiqued. My thoughts for what they are worth are as follows. Pictures are very generic and lack impact.I first viewed your list of cars and instantly saw that all cars had been photographed from the same front angle for your main advert pic.I'd rotate the pics for each car to show its best angle. Not sure if you use a smart phone but for me a digital camera is great and i find is very easy to make sensible tweeks to the pics.More time taken on focus would be invaluable. If you're going to take pics of things like gearknobs etc, then knowing how to use depth of field settings makes a huge difference. Youtube has some tutorials that ive used and found very useful, same goes for the photography section on Pistonheads. The wording of your adverts perhaps need a bit of personalisation they are perhaps a bit 'robotic' at the moment. The prices all look right so it could just be the January blues. Best of luck

Spend some money investing in a half decent dslr camera, saw in the reflection your using a bit of a basic one. Even a newer iPhone will take better photos and video

You don’t have any what I call , bread and butter vehicles. Thought the CRVs would be good movers. Your aiming at a particular customer.Say I wanted a CRV I wouldn’t be put off because of a lousy photo. if you had a fleet of Clio’s, corsa’s , Polos, Fiestas etc your phone would be melting. I’ve sold two Polos , a Golf, a Clio and a Fiesta since last Tuesday out of 10 cars. The V50 , S40 , Honda Accord and the A4 are still here. What’s that tell you?

The general manager, Hodges if he’s still in heading up the show, has absolutely zero interest or intention of implementing this. Months ago he actually said to me something along the lines of if he wanted to instigate a professional appraisal then we (DA) would have to add £400 to cover the costs and then nobody would use us. I kid you not. Apparently getting an outside appraiser at £400 per car was his ridiculous response to my impertinent suggestion of simply enforcing vendors to abide by the DA rules they’d signed up for. This was just one of the many gems of wisdom I received. Look at anyone on here who’s had a complaint regarding vendor’s professionalism. Forget the mealy mouthed response, what has the final outcome actually been? Something between the lines of sweet f.a. to nothing whatsoever.
