Any prep you do over the minimum required to sell it quickly for the going retail price is effectively too much. Knowing where to stop takes years of trial.

Get enough of your own evidence together to prove he is lying and then destroy him.

Every auction in the land has its fair share of day release candidates...

That’s nothing, you obviously never experienced the old bca banners glued to the screen with pritt-stick!

I have much better addictions - most either come in a pita bread or a pint glass. (Not the same addiction of course).

I hate the markers, they don’t consider or differentiate for low owners, history, condition etc. No allowance for those of us who do it properly vs. The quick wash and sell brigade. Worse still is CarGurus who state time in stock and price changes - that really does piss me off.

Generic satin back Rattle can or black carpet dye spray? I bloody hate cheap carpet that has ingrained dirt, recent example was a 10 plate focus. Could’ve been there for hours Hoovering.

We had chap who bought a SLK off us two years ago , super thing and we had driven it 70+ miles too so knew it very well , he took it home to Kent 250 miles away and rang us to say the rear diff had gone on way home , Luckily my son was down Kent on Hols so was knocking on his door 15 mins later asking to drive it , The chap was devastated as clearly it was a scam , The surprise he got was worth the call the scamming old git , Nothing wrong with his car at all just after some money

i have just gone round a car with my pointy paint brush doing a door shut ,you never finish minting a car till its sold its laziness to have 4 customers but only 2 like your standard i have a reputation for mint cars,it was a long battle to get that status but its the first words that come out of customer referals mouth and i love it,if i have what they want its sold so why break the mould

walk up to each car in turn with your arms folded (as if you were the lady of the house sick of looking at cars with your husband and wishes he kept the stinky one he has already) and walk round and round the car,do the same inside then under the bonnet, can you fault it,it is quite acceptable at this stage to use your foot to point as customers invariably do would you buy it? if not then mint again my motto is if someone walks having made the journey ive failed dont have walkers a vehicle can never be over cleen i use the double mint it approach if you dont like getting your finger nails dirty get some illegals to do the dirty work for you for the price of some belly pork then do the double minting yourself see easy goodas luckas

So it turns out that the Full dealer Mercedes Service history advertised with the vehicle was complete shit and the car hasn't been serviced at Mercedes at all. We spoke to our local Mercedes dealer who looked up the service history for us. We walked away. Thank you, that's really useful (insert thumbs up emoji) Thank you

In a word yes. Dave said sometime ago that this was bordering on fraud and what he is now doing, effectively doctoring a service history on a car for deceptive purposes, is fraud. You should possibly seek legal advice and go from there mate. This bloke is clearly a complete chancer.

For the benefit of anyone curious about the economics of this* (*pre-Brexit): return Ryanair fare to Plovdiv, Bulgaria (my home town), £80-£90 including two cabin bags transport to resort: Free (I have my own car there) accomodation: Free (A friend has an apartment) 3 day ski-lift pass £76 meals out £30-£40 for the three days Knowing I didn't drop any of my prices during the slowdown: Priceless. Knowing that after 14 years of working like mad, 12 hour days, 7 days in most weeks I can do this: Even more priceless.

Bloody hope it picks up, phone hasn't rang in 2 weeks now. Had 2 gone in the first 4 days of Jan, one came back for a warranty claim though. Get the odd email offering £750-1K less but that's it! Think i'll start offering my manly services to all the lonely ladies to prop the car sales up when its quiet

Bob Turner ( RJ Turner) he works from a unit literally a stones throw from BCA Paddock Wood but I believe he does quite a bit for Beadles in Sidcup and he is always up and down collecting stuff from them. His work is top notch and he usually turns stuff around pretty quickly.
