I couldn’t vote because of the voting rules but would of course have voted to stay. Looks like not only there will be no deal, there will probably be no Brexit at all. Good riddance!

What a shambolic mess, all we can do is get stuck in and sell some cars and leave them to it.

Why would you pay UK running costs for a UK based business and limit yourself to the small market that is Cyprus. The UK has a huge population in a reasonably small area which makes a nationwide business very viable and easy to run. Why throw all that opportunity away and focus on Cypus??

Nope it isn't. It's not serviceable. It's replaceable yes but you cannot open it clean it and put it back together helping it to have a long life. Whereas an engine yes you change filters and oil that help run the engine smoothly and contribute towards its longevity. A gearbox is only partially serviceable; yes you can change the gearbox oil but you can't service the synchros that get shagged daily. Brakes are fully serviceable. Exhausts and driveshafts etc are not. They're all replaceable. Certain things are replaceable only. I always tell my arsey customers this when they moan about not fsh... The service book particularly the stamped section only talks about fluids and filters nowhere there is the mention of the heater matrix, clutch, bushes, cv joints etc I am a jobsworth i know.... But it helps when you know the nitty gritty

I have What exactly aren't you happy about? I voted stay. I reckon considering the scaremongering (lies?) in the Leave campaign, I reckon we should have a revote. BUT, since we're leaving, I wish they'd hurry up and get on with it. Nick, I'm just thinking what an awful waste of money this would have been if there's no Brexit in the end. Billions spent, while there's no policing and the country is going to pot with more stabbings and robberies day by day.

I hope you have a good man in Cyprus looking out for you! We've done a few export sales after being initially very very sceptical. Not proper exports, we've sold to a company who then export and resell to their buyer in Cyprus, Caribbean etc. There's a market there for certain so I can't knock it but the guys operating in this field already really know their stuff; organised, efficient, a real pleasure to deal with over a regular punter, so I hope you're going into it knowing that some of the bases are covered already.

Personally I think this is one of the trickiest questions in our industry I honestly think a large % of customers think our cars should all be our back to new mechanical standard and parts shouldn’t be worn. If a part fails and we offer to fit a second hand one how often do they say ‘I don’t want a second hand part’ - but EVERY part on the car is either used or second hand!

Have sold a few to Cyprus over the years, and as you are probably aware there are a few companies / sole traders who are already into this market, typically Cypriots who already live in the UK, there are quite a few shipping lines that take the cars some RORO others in containers.... You'll need to be 100% on top of the import regulations, as getting it wrong can give you a major problem. .....Once sold a car that had originally been first registered in Japan then came the UK, had a UK V5 - no problem............unfortunately the buyer wasn't aware until the car arrived in Cyprus that as its first registration was outside the UK import tax was huge.... and he ended up sending it back to the UK, effectively re-importing it (as it was down as being exported) finally selling it on about 12 months later - and down about 3 grand.......

I wouldn’t advertise with carguru in principal. How dare they be so negative about the retailers, stating how long they have had stock and thats it’s overpriced. It’s fecking outrageous and I would gladly slap the face of anyone with a wet fish “monty python” style who thinks I’m wrong. So there
