Very good idea for those who don’t like dealing in shite. However there’s money in shite & often you can turn £250 into £1000 or a £600er into £1395. I like the GOOD shite that comes in as p/xs or I buy from lazy main dealers who can’t be arsed to wash the car or look in the glovebox for the FSH with a fresh MOT. You can’t buy shite at the block (God knows how anyone makes any money without killing or shafting over buyers) but there’s plenty of it available if you’re prepared to sift through it, drive it, prep it & advertise it correctly.

Probably to the local Vauxhall main dealer to pick up a crappy Corsa on a lease deal.

Judging by the stock he has (prestige) they usually carry a good margin (they do for me anyway) he’s doing ok

That's exactly how I spent my Sunday but because I don't have enough stock to attract so many buyers on a single day I had to invite some family friends over at our local pub. All they were buying were drinks :-)

There is an auctioneer at Blackbushe, usually in Hall 2. He often starts a UKCGR Select Lot at Cap Clean and then just leaves the Live Online bidders to battle it out.

I bought a car years ago over the phone (when traders still existed and would offer you cars and deliver them) as he said it was an estate car. It turned up and it was a saloon. Rang him up to moan and he said he’d told me it was ‘in a state’. It was.

that's why I find stats like these useful Matt, although I imagine most traders call bullshit, it's a good indicator of the whole market trend in general and considering newbies haven't yet built up a good knowledge of their local market I can't see any harm

Morning all, I hope no-one minds but I have just sent a link to this thread to our friends at Lawgistics. They are very busy people but might have something helpful to add to the discussion and maybe clarify things a bit ! Have a good Friday.

Consumer rights do not apply to trade sales.

Agree with SC. This guy sure as hell would not be complaining if the car had flown an MOT and it was sat on his driveway with £200 profit in it

Surely if you advertise it as a trade sale and he signs to confirm he is in the trade, then that is that? How much more can be expected of you? Is it really up to us to prove other people are in the trade or not? Haven't we got enough to do?
