  1. personally mine are designated to the bin a nice description in the side glass is more informative rather than overkill in the screen i use the screen to get immediate attention only hth
  2. hi did you actually read the post on this thread where i tried to help you
  3. ive learnt offer nothing unless its good to go heart attacks under pressure are common in this job due to pressure not needed ive lost 3 mates to the pressures who i used to share jollities at the block with
  4. im pretty miffed by this thread ive given good solid first hand experience of this very problem but some of you bring it down to lets get the boys in and smash it the OP never gives thanks for help that really annoys me but i haven't blanked him yet ,but saying break in really goes beyond the pail, this is supposed to be a forum for professional people and the comments about breaking in whether tongue in cheek or for real really do not put this business in a good light
  5. so its a whitewash then or lacquer over basecoat to epv i suggest you look at the lease terms very carefully before you move on to the property youve been offered, get a solicitor to draw up the terms yourself if you have to and get it signed by you and the landlord, also think carefully about the lease length you want, this is very important because if you set it up for one year on a rolling lease and become successful the landlord could give you notice to quit and reasign the property to say his his son in law and he could take over where you left off,its worth considering going ltd to limit your liabilities if it all goes tits too so you are not personally liable,im sure you know all this and maybe your posts above were tongue in cheek but having been on the wrong side of a landlord many years ago and losing a classic car in exactly the same circumstances i wouldnt want it to happen to anybody on here because once it goes legal it costs a lot of time and effort to hopefully get your car back
  6. a google of giffion says no, wheres trade vet when you need him
  7. i once took apart one of those chinese pump your tyre up jobbies that you connect up to the car battery the tyre was flat and the tyre slightly off the bead so i left the machine on as i kicked the tyre about trying to get it to seal, anyway the machine stopped when i dismantled it i found the plastic piston had melted
  8. i was with bollingtons for a good 10 years, they come highly recommended by me £1400 sounds perfectly reasonable see if you can add cars to the mid online rather than by phone trade plates come from the dvla and cost £165 a year
  9. the landlord will not be aware these cars are not owned by a 3rd party so if he has done his job properly he should have used the local bailiff company to go with him and give the tenant a walk in possession order, this means nothing can be removed for 7 days in which time the tenant can find the funds to pay the dept it is a criminal offence if this has been done and not only will you find your insurance dearer you will have to declare it on your trade plate renewal etc when you come out of durham jail this is not to be taken lightly
  10. of course, does he not have a registered office?
  11. i would advise not to buy the auto version as even the manufacturer never got them right an early jazz is best
  12. there should be a note on the door explaining if he has done it legally if there is no note then he is witholding your right to your property which i believe is an offence obviously you need legal help from a solicitor knowledgeable about commercial property laws on no account break in
  13. has the locks been changed by the landlord or a bailiff if bailiff and you enter you may go to prison if convicted
  14. you were lucky to get it back as they wont take a motor traders policy as proof of insurance did you recover it away?
  15. £15000 seems to be about right for one of these it would be cheaper to buy some narrow guage rail and a small steam train and drive round the car taking pictures dont forget the whistle though ,customers love whistles
  16. If you ain't got me peace of mind - ask alfie this is my mantra
  17. i totally agree you can always tell a prospective sale by the fact the main question is, is it still for sale?,i never get asked best price from these people and when they turn up when they say they will its a privilege to serve them and i tell them so and thank them for the sale
  18. think of an old mk2 cortina with a twinchoke nailed on and no airfilter so it makes the slurping noises that annoys the neighbours roll forward 6 months and wonder why engine flumng and down on compression hint the filter didnt filter

  21. whats up with 'you buying or looking yawl' but changed into english comes out hi, were you just having a general look or were you thinking of buying today this way you've introduced yourself and given them an opportunity to tell you their position in relation to their needs if they have any,it works really well and you weren't being pushy like that hopeless assistyant in currys chasing youi round
  22. totally sensible nick its like telling your competition how much you have in a particular motor i understand you came here for the reason the useless autotrader forum was shut i tried it and it was full of crap, this is why i came here its open there is a section for trade only why dont you and epv go there if it so concerns you, frankly i get tired of people leading other people up a path of their choosing ,not mine, that is why i work for ME
