I think you need to look more at your eBay / Autotrader adverts, and also the way your talking to customers on phone calls and in person to get the deal done, the website is not as important neither is the premises and pics, look at your pricing aswell compared to others out there

Haven’t tried them my self but quote me today done a great deal for one guy down the road from , £2500 down to £1700, was very pleased

They don’t even do interviews for trade plates anymore hence why every trader wannabe and his mum have the red n white on the dash

These days I wait 1 month and then drop the price slightly every 2 weeks until it’s sold, longest stock car had recently was an 2001 Honda Civic auto 1.4, decent spec and 5 door but could not shift it for months, eventually I let my friend borrow it and plus 25k / 1 year later it came back to me and sold within 2 days! Go figure!

Next time check the water bottle if the water is either oily or has those shiny stop leak particles, also clean off the cap and run the engine up to temp again see if it comes back

Is it just me or has Sytner online auctions gone to pot, cars regularly going well over cap and retail in some cases, most cars are relisted after selling many times with no reason given, also they aren’t doing hpi checks in px stock, I’ve been stung a few times with mileage errors now, shame as I used to get very good stock from there

Well that didn’t go well, he didn’t like my car but unfortunately for him the daughter had the last word, his main grip was that it had a tow bar ( factory fitted ) and this meant someone had used it to lower boats into the water, beggars belief!

I have a lady coming over tomorrow with her dad who is a landrover expert, she has already agreed a price and paid a deposit, this should be fun !

Unfortunately these punters see a cheap motor and are truely blinded by price overlooking all else, as said yes this time he wanted to buy from a trader as he knows where to find me !

Just sold a 3 series this morning and the customer had a tale to tell, apparently his previous car was bought off eBay (private seller) he did all the usual checks, Hpi etc, came up Clear, paid readies and off he went. Two days later he is stopped by plod who seize the car as they say it was bought with a stolen credit card in November, so car now seized and he is out of pocket £5k, hpi are not honouring their guarantee either, well that’s scary isn’t it? When I take a px I do the same checks, the only thing I see dodgy here is he says the guy only owned the car a couple of months on the v5 but had a good tale to tell.

I tend to leave my reg plates showing these days, end of the day it’s a risk but there we go I noticed I get more enquiries on cars with reg showing

James you know that everyone is happy to help but when you see our profession that we love being eroded and then some of those very people turn up here sending PMs begging to know where I source my cars and how much I pay, well I'm sorry but that's just taking the piss in anyone's book, if anything I would say until recently we have all been very patient with these posts and PMs, but we all have our limits.
