  1. I used to only buy reg vardy p/x's they had cracking ones and they nearly always went for what you bid or you waited till the next day and learned all bids accepted Happy days long gone
  2. How many have already blown their 10 grand on hookers and quad bikes I wonder Wheres bhm when you need him
  3. As I see it any dealer offering a click and collect at their premises will be looking at a minefield in the future under """did you or your family get the covid 19 whilst employed?"""" We are offering a no win no fee It will be the new white finger or ppi or even the new pcp You read it here first Wait till the government and the man from del monte say yes ask mr nadir
  4. Cant imagine why you are doing this My lovely Santander have sent me a gorgeous letter telling me that out of the goodness of their hearts they have changed my interest on my cash isa to a great 0.01 percent This equates to a full whole £1 per tax year per£10,000 The wife and I (shes not the queen mind) have sat here in our grow bags this last 3 hours trying to work out what we will do with this vast amount of money next april if we are still here
  5. In my opinion you reap what you see It therefore follows that the majority voted stay in the EU in london thus they also want to be controlled by eu measures and the unworkable Paris agreement I disagree with both until it's a level playing field We now import wood pellets from america to fire our biggest power station because of the eu, its costing a million pound a day in subsidies, so the swedes dont choke on their er swedes. I'm out
  6. You would have to be sad or mad to buy one of them They were built in south Africa out of steel from the roofs of shanty towns They were rotten as pears at 5 years old truly nasty things, everything was naf even the wings didn't fit off cortinas.............dont ask
  7. Hello good afternoon and welcome Do you know van diesel seeing as you know van sales
  8. Go on youtube My local new car dealer had better stock than me at one time
  9. Yes but it's all I could find If I was at work I could have cutnpasted some model t's in
  10. Reading this weekend about the just in time ordering and how it's going to be difficult to restart the lines when they are dependant on so many small factories I'm against scrappage the people who really run this country need their 54 plate focus to get to work ,buying a new car is just a dream to them
  11. When did they come out you mean? 60,s I think, sure the wagons with chassis and a seat and steering wheel used to pass me in 1960's with trade plates on and the blokes with goggles on their heads Taken me half an hour to find a picture
  12. Ok I will let you off,I've still got the triangle because the queen says I cant damage her regal property Dont want her coming out of isolation and a corgy nipping me legs
  13. Hi david I listened to your buying a car one yesterday, its very good of you to give away your secrets of your elixir A very interesting half hour your pods will all be listened to by me once the sun shines again Take care
  14. Dont take offence but here goes We've had a lockdown,so the car you bought might have been on the tail of this At 2g any sensible dealer is going to hold the sending of new keeper details off as long as he can due to the 28 day cra rule My log books are on pins on a shelf like gordan Ramsey's food order for the chefs I do them online once I'm 100% sure the car isn't coming back with a stupid complaint Now did you tell the dealer you were taking it abroad? If you did the law allows for this on the log booking you both read it Would I give you another car on the strength of paperwork sent off but it doesn't help you? Very unlikely indeed So what can you do...? Not a lot but wait The dealer seems to be the bad guy here but in my opinion he has done nothing wrongmthose log books might still be hung up if you hadn't called Your car was obviously taxed at pos on new keeper form and it says on the v5c the registered keeper is not necessarily the owner The moral of the story is if you have family abroad or you intend to export a car use the correct procedures or buy elsewhere
  15. I once cleaned a radiator with the steam cleaner back in the day on a car Boy I didn't do that again spent all day straightening the bugger Nice to see you have the pre war trade plates like mine,I need to paint them again though as theres not much red left, wait they are at work and dvla wouldn't let me sorn them Hang on they are modern plates.,....... you youngurn
  16. Time is a great healer Said the wise owl or was it casio Of course it will need a new battery but timpsons are shut
  17. More important than anything is coverage for where you need it In the last 30 years I've had to go from vodaphone to orange to 02 As said if you use the phone for photographs then get one with a good camera Mines a hiwye absolutely brilliant camera in my opinion I've always been a clamshell guy because these modern phones dont sit in my pocket well so the wife has stitched me in an inside pocket with velcro so even if I get hung upside down by a customer (anyone remember them?) my phone doesn't fall out
  18. Weirdly I watched the fridge one a few weeks back I'm now into car crash Britain and beyond Dont watch tv
  19. How many midges be square inch does the radiator consume
  20. I went to copart about 2 months ago to view a commercial,it was accident damaged but checking its history and also looking on facebook I could see the vehicle had come direct from the company via insurance as it had been posted up as breaking a traffic with a photo of the driver even eating a lolly ,anyway after talking to the chap who accompanies you through all the mangled wrecks at copart he also explained that the long numbers in the window tell copart who the vendor is in relation to say salvage /private entry /or indeed a company disposal/ So after checking the vehicle and working out the coatings £400 + in transportation fees alone I set my marker and sat down to bid on the day I got took out as fast as I could bid and realised that whatever I bid was not going to buy it so walked away from the keyboard I studied autotrader and found a direct off fleet vehicle some 100 miles away and made an appointment to see it,once there I didn't even need to drive it but just bought it and drove it back It then went off for a new body fitting and then we had lockdown so it's the most expensive landmark I've ever purchased Moral of the story Copart isn't the cheapest place if willing to travel and do your homework
  21. Well you would honestly think these live chats couldn't get any better but they do A real down to earth guy who really knows how the cogs whirl Loved his flicking the V's, theres not many that would accept this happens Thanks as always JAmes and of course Sean

  23. I broke my rose tinted spectacles years ago or did they fall in the gutter when the latest bl offering let me down I used to sell most of these models too but they were utter garbage Best one was, put a maestro van on full lock and let go of the steering wheel ,they didn't return,a proper trouser moment if it caught you unawares, dont get me wrong the economy on them was great only thing that could touch them was a 1600 diesel escort van but there was only me who didn't cook a head on them because I used to set off 10 minutes early on every journey to make up time Last maestro I worked on was 3 years old,I had to change something in the front suspension every bladdy bolt sheared that felt like it would undo, carrot bolts I've called them even fso's some of the bolts undid
