  1. We could always do a beer meet, that doesn’t need much organisation - just deep pockets and a taxi
  2. I'm going to start whinging about all my other stock now
  3. Someone coming to view the Clio at 5pm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jne9t8sHpUc

    BMW E46

I've just had a 118i back - was the oil cooler gasket which is sandwiched between the filter housing and block (I sound like I know what I'm talking about but I don't)
  5. It's a bit of a povy spec (no A/C) https://www.imperial-marques.co.uk/cars/renault/clio/extreme/206836/ I know it is a bit pricey but dropping it to 25 had a negative effect on enquiries. Been on AT since day 1, plenty of calls but only 1 messer viewed. Loaned to 2 customers whom both raved about how well it drives. I used it myself for two days and it really is spot on (for what it is).
  6. Brilliant - I get some cars that I initially really like and then they sit around so long I get sick of the sight of them and I begin to hate the things. Currently my fairly overage (90 days) includes: 2011 (61) - V50 2 Owner but up on the miles at 130k 2011 (11) - Kia Soul 2 Owner FDSH 61K Plus this: 2010 (60) - Renault Clio 72k in black - plenty of enquiries but no sale and at 174 days in stock. Owes me nowt and is taxed/used as current loan car. I won't drop the price, I own the cars and it will be two of those "just takes that one buyer" cars.
  7. Trouble with these kind of faults, from my experience. It is hard to tell when it is fixed because you can drive and drive the car = no faults. Then randomly (usually post sale) the fault reoccurs and you're back to square one, only worse because you then also have a screaming customer to manage as well.
  8. At over 3 years in stock, that would have long since been Ebayed with a genuine no reserve - you'll fix that car eventually and it will haunt you.
  9. No, I tried that and it just tells you that they are all on AT and Profile Page - if you then go back to the summary, it says Yes on some and Capped on others. Used to be able to just uncheck one car and then check another on the same page.
  10. I will give my speel again. Here's the keys, there's the car - please have a good look around and if there is anything you'd like to know please ask, I will be in my office. The car will come to you with a brand new MOT, a full PDI, a fresh service and 3 Months/3,000 Mile warranty, the price is the price - I do not discount but I do stand by my customers and the product I am selling. Take it or leave it (put more politely obviously).
  11. Best one I had - Cat D - 64 Plate Citroen DS3 1.6 VTi with 17k miles - hammer down at £2.8k - sold quickly with no cosmistic prep beyond a valet + new MOT + Light Service for £4.5k I wish the same could be said for the red DS3 diesel
  12. That's true but only when there was no other work pending.
  13. I wish my garage spent less time polishing his many Snap On tools and boxes and started using them. He was all gooey last week over a new HUGE roller thingy, trading in his old one. It looks an impressive set up, I just wish he used them more often.
  14. My AT Portal changed this morning - wow, that is shit. Can anyone tell me how you now swap adverts between cars. I stock about 14 cars and have 5+2 package, regularly swapping stock around so they all get some exposure? Can't find out how to do it on this new shitstym.
  15. Thank you Linc - that would have been great, much appreciated. As it happened, the guy (for £7 via PayPal), packaged the item and I sent a courier in for another £33.
  16. Generally in my experience they fetch 50-60% of CAP Cln, depending on desirability. My advice regarding this car however remains. Get your money back + as much recon as you can (however you achieve this/hammer fees/cheque etc). Even straight 500's sit srounf forever and I will never buy another one for stock. Having said that, another repeat customer has asked me to find them a Lounge model and with a guaranteed customer, I will find one. Probably by calling another dealer who is sick of the sight of one of their ornaments.
  17. Reading the first line of his review, it could have gone the other way. We bought our sons first car from Imperial Marques and I have to admit that I haven't been dealt with like this from any other car dealer before
  18. Thanks mate - it's rarity that people phone to thank and to be honest when I saw the number come up..........................but it was just to say thank you.
  19. Just to update and close this thread. Thanks to you NOA - I bought that seat from Scunthorpe (only tidy one available) but he wouldn't ship. Organised my own courier and sent it down as customer agreed that Fiat were taking this piss. Customer rang this morning to thank me and left me this review, you can take some credit NOA. We bought our sons first car from Imperial Marques and I have to admit that I haven't been dealt with like this from any other car dealer before. We travelled over 175 miles to buy the car and would do so again. We discovered a slight issue with the car once we got back to Pembrokeshire and Mark rectified the issue straight away. I can't rate my experience with Mark enough, truly a genuine car dealer who delivers on his promises, it's a shame all car dealers aren't like Mark. These are the customers I will jump through hoops to help - never aggressive, always thankful - just normal folk, they do exist.
  20. Don’t do it unless it really really needs it. Then as little water as possible after a soaking of TFR (avoid obvious electricals). I then soak the lot in WD40 to prevent corrosion, repel any water that did unavoidably come into contact with electrical contacts. Only thing worse than a dirty engine = a broken clean one.
  21. My first port of call for everything (non service related) is the main agents. Often cheaper, always quicker and always fit as supposed to.
  22. Because it encourages you to search for your usual stuff and you might (probably will) stumble over something else for an impulse purchase (not the deodorant).
  23. Mine hasn't changed at all. You lot must be the gineau pigs
  24. Do yourself a favour and if they agree to take your car back plus betterment, let them. They take forever to shift, even the straight well priced ones. Definately on my will never buy again list.
