  1. Almost every time this happens (except I rarely price drop, just sit it out) I am guessing your miley, no history gear is cheaper and unfortunately, cheap always outsells proper gear. Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately, I have zero tolerance for the punters they attract.
  2. Yes, good numbers AD. My current stock is: 9 Diesel 3 Petrol 1 Electric And as far as I am concerned that pretty much replicates demand for each (but I am very low on stock).
  3. This /\/\/\ Used car sales does not lend itself well to price indicators, in fact it is ridiculous. Pricing low to high or indicators works for new goods (not cars). For example, I have just bought another Nest camera (I have 5 work and home). I know how they work, I know how to contact Nest for support, so all I need is the cheapest, quickest, closest. That said, I would have still paid an extra tenner to have been able to get one straight away instead of next day.
  4. Diesel gate seems to have been and gone for me. Most still seem to prefer the oil burners. Now, my Nissan Leaf is bringing out a new breed of weird.
  5. I think that is great - put all the crap under one Group. Be easier to filter my auction searches.
  6. Current stock I bought a 57 plate Merc with 1 main dealer stamp. Got the car back and checked the pack, full Merc history. Someone had missed one page in the book but it carried on from there. Got a 59 Merc with no history. Checked the pack - no history book but at least a dozen Merc service invoices in the folder (on a 60k miler) Swings n roundabouts
  7. To be fair, I have had a couple of DPF/EGR issues but other than that, VAG has done ok for me. But......I am so bored of answering the timing belt question.
  8. You pay £80, plate goes on retention for 10 years or until you allocate the plate to a vehicle/Nominee.
  9. In that case - just make your company the Nominee and put the plate on. If things change, pay the £80 and make your son the Nominee again.
  10. Why doesn't he just put the plate on the car he uses privately rather than this sketchy set up which may appear to the insurance like someone is trying to bend the rules? I presume he is under 25 and probably restricted for business only. Or, why can't you just allocate the plate to your company and stick it on if it is that important?
  11. I was thinking exactly the same See I'm far from perfect; I eat the wrong stuff, lots and constantly.
  12. I was referring to my personal number, not work. CarGurus you can see which car they have called about via email.
  13. Because when you miss a call and try to call back, you will be calling from a different number and people don’t always answer calls from numbers they don’t know.
  14. I also had the pop up message and I am not happy either. They will sell it to you as a way of seeing how many calls you get but I think it is their way of trying to retain your business. I.e. you drop off the package and someone has saved that number, they can't reach you.
  15. I’ve just ordered some sunshine from Amazon. Can’t wait for it to come, think it’s due in March.
  16. And there’s the answer. Didn’t even need to ask, a VAG car owner - quelle surprise
  17. I gave my valet the Nissan Leaf to do; By far the grubbiest, most poorly cosmetically maintained car I have ever had in stock (all that saving the planet must mean they avoid soap). He has made the inside look almost new and the paintwork (despite one stubborn touched in scratch) is unrecognisable. 2 Days more or less but worth it.
  18. I too started as a valeter which is why I get so frustrated when one does a shit job for me. Back in the day, we were steam cleaning dash boards and interiors with a pressure washer. Wouldn’t dare now. But why do valeters look confused when asking them to clean a roof lining.
