Black on black - 58k miles diesel auto - absolutely stunning - just serviced and Mot’d - I literally couldn’t believe how cheap I got it. Never happens. all green ticks on the report

I bought a 118d M Sport convertible auto for £6300 inc fees last Tuesday from Enfield bca and sold it Wednesday afternoon for £8800. you couldn’t make it up in the middle of winter. i only bought it as it capped a 6800 and was mega cheap and fully assured. Selling a convertible in the winter within 24 hours will never be achieved again lol

For those who dont touch german cars.......
Grantlfc81 replied to Grantlfc81's topic in General Dealer Chat
Thanks, I designed and coded it all myself. I used to run a web design company and sold cars for 2 years for Dagenham motors and toomeys in Essex for 2 years about 15 years ago so it all goes hand in hand. Audi bmw and merc sells very very well in Essex, we are really focusing on cars that are 6-10 years old and 60k-115k miles. We love diesel on the bigger cars. This seems to be the sweet spot to get the phone ringing. customers like the fact we have 4-6 1 series in at any time as they come down and look at all of them. I’m aiming to get to the stage where we have 3 of each of all the popular models. its amazing how many people come down for a 320d Msport and drive off in an A4 2.0 tdi sline we try and stay away from all SE and lesser specification models as they get hardly any attention -

at the end of the day you could buy less desirable "safer" option cars, but they sit around and could still go wrong. -

if we sell 10 at 15k profit, and one needs doing.... its not that much of a problem for us. -

Hi Mate, we buy alot privately so we test drive alot of them first. If youre going to get a stinker just get it repaired and take your medicine. we have only had a couple go bad out of say 40 -
I know some of you would be losing sleep if you held all this type of stock lol www.villagecarsessex.co.uk We are absolutely stocked up to the max now of our german only bmw/merc/audi stock profile.... We are outselling most in our area so lets see how we go... however we have totally removed mini from our site.... they are too risky even for us.

High oil usage - Audi 1.8 tfsi petrol
Grantlfc81 replied to Grantlfc81's topic in General Dealer Chat
I’m pretty sure it has about 7 Audi stamps but I don’t really want the thing stuck in Audi for 7 weeks. -
Has anybody had the high consumption issue with any 2.0 - 1.8 tfsi engines? 2009 Plate using around 1 litre of oil every 300-600 miles - according to the customer I sold the car 4 months ago and the customer was complaining of the oil light keep coming on. We had it back after 3500 miles and he says he topped it up about 6-7 times. Fortunately I put him into another car and made a real nice lump on it. Unfortunately I now have a car that I’m having to drive to see if this is the case. I’ve topped it up to the max level and headed off from the forecourt and will see how long it is before the oil light comes on again. The question is, what do I now do with this car if it is in fact drinking oil?

Shall I remove "Black Edition" to appear in more AT searches?
Grantlfc81 replied to Nick M.K.'s topic in General Dealer Chat
Black editions are not worth any more than s lines I have found. Maybe £200 more. I’ve sold a few and this is what I have found. -
I haven’t bought an auction car for a while, however I have sucked Facebook market place and eBay dry so hitting Enfield bca Tuesday and Thursday.

We have done 7, excellent start
-
We only sell German, normally 1,3,5 series merc a c and e class although c class seem hard to sell recently. or Audi A1,a3 a4 and Audi A6 - we try and stick to Msport and S line - the Problem we are having is sourcing enough cars. 7 this month so far. www.villagecarsessex.co.uk No longer touching minis
-
If I had 80 cars for £4500 I would be literally smashing it! We have made £6k profit in the last 2 days and that’s with only 12 cars. I wish I had 80 cars I would quite happily pay out that kind of money, however I think I would really struggle to find 80 cars of the stock type that I wanted!

18 sold out of 14 in stock.... People are still buying it seems. How has everyone else done?
