Exactly this! Any good on a bucket and sponge lad? Only kidding, I'm too far away from you but i hope you find an opening somewhere

I push for 7% flat where possible, sometimes adjust the rate myself if punter is savvy or can only work to a certain amount a month etc. I look at commission as a bonus, I'd be happy to sell the car at full price anyway but when it goes on finance then it's that added extra.

Name and shame

Yes we do. It's 2 and a half months ago. I will clearly have to get it looked into, it definitely wasn't playing up before as i even collected the vehicle myself and used it for a few days as there was plenty of fuel already in it

I've had many with the judder but ive got away with it by saying "they're all like that" to the customers! Only happens in 1st and reverse anyway and changes ok after that. It's this current problem that's doing my bonce in.

Sold one of the above a few months ago. Guy comes back saying sometimes it's not selecting gears properly and just revs and then takes a while to engage. Anyone had this problem and can perhaps point me in the right direction. I haven't had it code read yet as I'm out of the uk and away from the office at the moment.

Rotten tubs are a massive problem on these, i had one where the fuel flap inside had all rusted so badly that the hinge wouldn't stay on. Ended up welding it and getting it gone as soon as possible. A brave man buys these!

How many people on here are suffering with these problems with their stock. Car starts fine but start stop messages on dashboard saying its disabled blah blah blah. These modern cars that register just a small voltage drop in the battery set these warnings off. Do you put new start stop batteries on for your customers at approximately £170 a pop even though the car still starts fine or do you sell as it is.

I know, i know but you boys must also know what it's like...... You want the sale, also should you "fook" them off then you run the risk of that car perhaps not having the door opened for a couple of months etc. Stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Right, glad the thread title got your attention and reading this. Had a customer today who's been an awkward one for a week or so, wants this bumper mark done, wants the other bumper painted due to a stress crack the size of a strand of hair etc. Anyway, picks up on the point that the corner of the bumper where it meets the rear 1/4 is protruding on the drivers side ever so slightly (bmw 5 series, Ford Fiesta and Mondeo anyone?), now this car has done 99k and is 8 years old and between his constant picking he's really been getting on my wick. No matter how many times ive told him i cant make it brand new and that wear and tear is to be expected etc he just keeps on and on............ This led me to think about creating an Acronym for buyers like this and it didn't take me long to come up with one......... GABANO...... "Go And Buy A New One" ...... Next time you have got these types of customers please feel free to say the word amongst your staff /colleagues, say it loud and clear as the customer won't even know what you're on about.........Walk around the office and say out loud and proud....... GABANO! Glad i got that off my chest, if you are still here reading this bottom bit then thank god you didn't lose interest! GABANO! Oh and for those of you that are wondering if we managed to get it ever so slightly more in line then the answer is yes........ Amazing job these sliding hammers can do, we just pulled his back 1/4 out to suit!

Yes I've recently sent one off for repair that randomly started switching on and off etc. I used a guy who advertises on ebay. Not a cheap fix mind. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183286608144
