Great for cleaning tar just make sure you don't have dopy valeters that like smoking

I find it also decontaminates paint - so no need to clay bar neither

Thats the wonder of the internet you never know if someone is being serious or not.

Petrol is paint friendly otherwise you would be painting the area around the filler cap

I have an 06 C220D estate Auto that came in px the other day.  Done 149 in darker silver.  Drives fine (radio intermittent) back bumper needs painting.  Have left it in the compound a week now as can't decide whether to tart it up or sell as is.  My Sunday guy gave them £1500 in PX for it so dunno if that's good or bad.

I think the customer robbed you

  3. Yes - unprepped cars aren't really comparable

Thing is, they offer free delivery to your local EH garage. Imagine how many rejections they get

On a similar note, I was at Mercedes Brooklands last week. You would not believe the state of their retail cars. Think BCA Grade 3 on £30k cars..

    i would agree

once had a fiat auto put it right up to the bulkhead on the truck and the battery went flat,i couldnt get bonnet up due to crashbar and couldnt get it out of gear

    cant remember what i did

probably drove it into a river

it was a very very long time ago:lol:

To be fair, re-reading the opening post (particularly Reverse difficulty) reminded me of Mercs of that era with gear selector problems - especially CLKs for some reason

I think this is good value if it can be bought for under £11K depending on why the low grade 4 (not in Black Horse):

    MERCEDES-BENZ C300 H 2.1 SPORT Saloon, 4 doors, Auto/Manual Mode, Diesel/Electric,  102,771 miles, Warranted, VAT Type: VAT Margin,  Registration Date 26/11/2015, Grade: 4

    What did it make ?

I guess 11.2k but more prep than you anticipated

Do they still sell them? And if so what are they called?

How long does the CTEK take to charge up and how often does it need a recharge? Cannot seem to find this info anywhere?

If you're just starting up cars in your unit wont it be easier to just have a happy shopper euro car parts battery and some jump leads? And charge the battery once a while?

Looks like they have a new model that charges from flat :

    'Pulse charge for flat batteries'

the one thing in the ctec favour is someone said on here that it will charge a flat flat battery, the aldi one wont do that so i have to use my battery bender on it for a few hours first, the aldi ones when in stock were £12 wall mountable and a real good piece of kit,i wont buy any silverside stuff from lidl as no matter what it was i bought there it failed within weeks

I have a basic £20 old Argos battery charger for that
