I was going to say this when I first read your post but thought it was too obvious because there would have been a oil mess nearby

Small 1500sqft units in bad parts of the Midlands are £1500 p/m
£600-700 in rates
£1400 p/mth AutoTrader
£250 p/m Insurance
£3700 fixed costs aren't hard to imagine

....typical and it's been like this since I can remember, and that trust me is a good few years, always thought that's bloody odd?
Like the first 2/3 weeks in January - traders in a rush to buy more cars and outcompeting oneanother at crazy prices but with no customers to sell them to. Odd

And Evans Halshaw pay more..

Sort of thing that would sell well at a country garage forecourt

I always thought it inappropriate to take photos of stock while the cars are still on the auction site with the screen 'top', but there you go
They used to cover Walsall / Measham / Nottingham but tend to stay South now.
I knew an independant buyer who was instructed to buy anything 'cheap' for them.
They must make a fortune.

Yes he also buys the cheap stuff at Bedford

They have been around for over 10 years under different names, they source purely from BCA.
I think everything is sold on a scrap invoice now.
Old name was Sterling Cars, Reading.

Neil does a good job.
They must not sleep

Wait until you give them a last price, then they start passing your number around to all their brothers / cousins / uncles in an attempt to get more off.
I had 5 days of constant phonecalls from every single relative until they eventually bought realising they would not get a penny more.

ok thanks

I would be interested to know why your average person would browse Motors and CarGurus ?
They are literally unheard of amongst the general public.
Are they literally Googling 'second hand cars in XX' ?

I follow a few specialists in social media who seem to make a great trade in Sports / Performance
They seem to buy from forums classifieds and private eBay adverts from enthusiasts who keep their cars A1.
New photos, Gtech wax and the offer of finance and they are sold in a week.
Tempting...

Really ? I can go to an auction and see plenty to buy.
Depends if you feel 12-15% gross is worth it to you on £10k+ cars
Can anyone make sense of this?

I would love an E46 M3 in it
