I’m not far from you. We use BCA, Measham and Walsall mainly. Walsall tends to be cheaper but measham usually has the better stock. We used to use Castle Brom a fair bit until it closed.

Recently started watching Perry Barr online and prices havnt seamed that bad but never bought from there and Wolverhampton’s a bit far out for us although we have nicked a couple over the years.

Similar stomping ground + Wolves + Notts + Perry Barr

Have you ever made it to Fleet auctions in Coalville ?

Small selection, but on when the big houses are running. Never been personally

For future radio codes you can buy them for cheap on eBay. You just need to remove the radio and get the serial code.

PS. You don't need to remove the radio on Fords from the past 10 yrs

There are secret menu tricks to reveal the serial code - Google for specific models

We had this with an very low mileage Mercedes: took it in to the main dealer for usual German crap issues including two wiring looms, and -long story short- after the third visit for different issues, they discovered a mileage blocker wired up to the dash!

Anyway, once removed, the mileage indeed corrected itself by about six thousand miles. So annoying.

Bought the junk from Sytners auction, but you can’t blame them really can you. Just glad it happened to us, not the punter we would have sold it to, declaring a lower miles!

Obviously Hpi and Mot Check etc gave no indication.

Could have been worse/loads more miles I guess.

Can bus blocker. You can buy them for £50 . The mileage corrected itself after removal because of the mileage counted by the gearbox.

Was it a W204 C Class by any chance ?

i would be buying one of these and stripping to ascertain the fault then repairing then  offering the service on ebay if i could be bothered..

I often wonder about these kinds of services

I see theres a guy who offers virgin Corsa ecus on ebay for £250+

Seems like something you can learn from Youtube and you can buy a whole Corsa for a few quid, let alone a stack of ECUs from a scrap yard.

Even had one that was described as  Scratched , Dented ,Painted on rear bumper badly . EML light on , two tyres less the 3mm , one key , and only two services at 50 k .

The car was NOT scratched  , not dented , had no paint , eml light not on , all tyres excellent , two keys , full seat history with cam belt too . Fishy Fishy as we got it £900 under book for a Cupra R .Just wanted a wash and hoover , Thinking tagged for someone at a price , inside job wink wink or am i getting cynical ,

To be fair that could be anyone of 2 out of 5 BCA cars
