Hold on, you're complaining you can't flip a car for £600 which needs a load of work, but without actually doing the work !?

That scene has been milked already for the past few years

Would it be a go'er if you lived in mainland Europe ?
Always surprises me how many US imported cars you see out there

These can run very lean, are you sure its running at the correct idle speed ?

I'd love it if sponsored listings bit them on the arse because it obscured what people where really looking for.

Does the sensor in the bumper look like it has been knocked ?

I wouldn't mind, but they struggle to get the Assured Checks right.
Recent discovery : perfect assured test but arrives with a burst AC radiator and I didn't realise until it was too late.

They find they struggle selling when they try wiping £1500 across a dogshit 10 year old hatchback & they also get a wake up call at the true state of p/xs if their MOT tester isn’t on-side and the Workshop rapes the Sales Dept.
Yes and No
Company valuations based on increasing revenue multiples means they will keep at it for a while.
Think tech companies who burn cash to make and maintain turnover.

Just now, Area 51 said:More than likely is my guess, advertise on the RS owners webshite etc? Become known as the buyer to sell too with no hassles... ?? If the cars are straight, priced right can be win win
It's a strange one. How do you negotiate with enthusiast owners who typically want retail ?
Also, I don't know how he managed to scoop up so many delivery mile Focus RS (and last years special editions) when they were the hot ticket

For sourcing I'm active in Porsche owners club (got a cayman r) and in the Focus RS owners clubs and forums (got a mk2 st and 3 RS). Go to monthly meets etc. That's a potential route for stock as know quite a few boys there and they tend to move from mk2 to mk3 and you see some of the younger guys move out of fiesta st to rs etc. They buy their cars somewhere and in the digital age folk will travel. Flights are cheap to Glasgow !
Looked at some of the auction prices being paid and they are quite tight!
If I can be bold and ask - for the stock profile I propose is £100 / £150k p.a. net achievable when established?
Any idea how RS Direct in Yate, Bristol manage to get their hands on so many privately owned RS stock ?
Hoover up everything on owners forums ?

3.5 Ton Sprinter with an Aventador on the back, tugging a LWB Maybach... -
I've been tempted to get one built, looking at what Luton / Chassis cabs make + £1500 for a conversion

The MS906 Autel is £800, but I will sell you one for £2k
-
I'd argue that if your workshop guys aren't directing you in what you need to buy, the chances are they wouldn't make any more use of these £2k scanners over £200 jobbies
