Trade it out at a loss to a London ULEZ garage before the next CAP price drop
Good luck (assuming this is for real)

They have to be good spec. And most of the customers now look for the newer V60 model in that price bracket (albeit with a few more miles on).
Agree, I saw today new Volvo V40 D2 1.6 Diesel [120] Cross Country for £16196

Any cheap dual action / orbital polisher
Avoid rotary ones as a beginner

Just re-read one of their adverts.
Looks like they have finally been made to remove their 'sold as seen / scrap' clause
I wonder how long they can operate if they're taking back cars

What ? On £400 bangers ?
Grade 2s need twice that minimum

I don't know about these but it seems like a lot of money for a 6yr old unpopular car on 100k

I was bidding at BCA once, I knew the auctioneer was bidding me up so called his bluff, bidded up to what I was prepared to pay and walked away. He was almost begging me to have another bid but I just shook my head. Low and behold the same car was back the following week.
This can actually work in your favour if the vendor gets desperate and drops the reserve or more accommodating with provisionals.

It's a matter of morals and double standards.

No one is forcing you to bid or buy, just set your maximum - some you win, some you don't but nobody has actually robbed you. In other words, if you were prepared to pay £10k and got trotted to £10k, what's the problem. If it was trotted to £10.5k it either doesn't sell or it went to someone who wanted to spend £10.5k in which case you still wouldn't have won.
Having said that, we've all seen private punters trotted up to silly figures.
Yes they should know better, but its not right. -

Technically it isn't but I'm on your side.

That's it exactly. Just looked at yours, it has plenty going for it and you bought it really well.

Usually 5 to 8 at 15k to 20k per unit.
Right now 5.
Sure the prices are still competitive?
Been some drops in past 6 weeks that took me by surprise

I actually think this is why some of the new traders do well because they don't see everything as expensive and focus on % only

Not a single one of these cars is a part exchange so we picked everyone of these out.
hows everyone else doing? I hope you’re all having a good month

Remind me. You're the fella who scoured Facebook marketplace and used in to take photos in a car park ?
Progress ! -
LR have always stockpiled new cars and worried about selling them later
-
Factory shutdowns/reductions resulting in shortage of new cars stock resulting in supply shocks to nearly new at the moment...
-
Work retail backwards
or find similar enough on BCA catalogues

Just now, sparky said:Why not? You'd of got the car you wanted at the price you wanted with the chance to mark the auctioneer's card. That's a win win in my book.
Because there's a good chance you'll get it cheaper in the next sale
