Thing is with scrappage scheme it does not cost the government anything, they actually profit from it, pre lockdown many manufacturers / dealers had this scheme going anyway, it did'nt help ? More bleeding i10s out there unsaleable pieces of cardboard does not help us lot on the factory floor

traffic light system ? red ....schools back small shops opening [ not for example primark] hairdressers etc full ppe strict distancing amber...unlimited private car journeys, maybe able to visit family no large gatherings green...pubs restaurants re open strict distancing,department stores reopen some sporting events ? notice i have not mentioned none essential business ? "bounce back loans no repayments in 1st twelve month, government grant re rates, and then furlough" all there for a reason, a very frightening reason, and we must consider it , 12 month ? something that did not really hit home until yesterday, when i watched the james podcast, sean said german car dealers opened and no one went in , went on to say, if theatres and restaraunts reopen would he visit ? no turn theatres and restaurants into pubs cubs [ thats the way i look at it ] and my shocking answer without strict distancing and the rest then me no too car dealerships ? frightening . this bounce back loan, and other loans,how many will throw it at stock, outbid us all and then blow in 14-18 month

now even i am confused is the answer 7 ?

Bus companies got a 167 million pound rescue package to ensure they keep running at the height of the virus, the rails got some too, part of a 397 million pound package, they all have to provide adequate spacing too, so going forward from this, it seems [following other countries] the future will bring being temp tested before getting on, wearing a mask, and keeping distance, this will put confidence [ other cleaning methods maybe applied too] back into the traveller. Any money left from this rescue package should pay for the above? I would be more worried to think the "traveller" cannot afford the repayments on his car, or repairs, sends it back and gets on the bus to the job centre ?

janet and john got quite a surprise when there new vw arrived ! all that money they had spent ! something was not right, and on the test drive it pulled to the right ! maybe they could get a refund ? oh dear, but the man on the phone seemed so nice ! lets go down there and complain said john ! "bring it back" he says let us put it on the ramp well, they couldnt find anything wrong ? john questioned janet had she put the wrong fuel in ? janet did not like that answer ! but still john got a bill for it

In relation to this there is a way round it, if you are delivering, then you could set some kind of system up to ensure customer has already insured, [we are talking unaccompanied] if there are excuses like we bought for our son who is getting it at end of month then it is not really a essential sale and defer until end of month, i guess you could say the have already paid for it so if they bump it it is there problem for not insuring it, but they may blame "something wrong with car". Pre lockdown, i had many a customer who did not want a test drive because they have been told by me, i have test drove it and would not be offering it if it was not right, and the added "if its not right, bring it back today".

All good points [thanks james by the way ] i agree about the scrappage 100% NO! local breakers near to me had salesman taking split mint old cars to weigh in ! the flat batteries we have discussed in our team, and sticking brakes, we realise there is a opportunity here also from past customers ringing us with there cars been stood and we are currently working on a plan of how to "visit" these customers after lockdown, and sell them a battery at a good price obviously, keeping up the general "we are all in it together" type of thinking whilst continuing our friendship with past sales customers. we are quite hands on people, which helps. There is going to be a lot of battery problems ! Sticking brakes is also another opportunity here.

There has to be all sorts of exemptions in a pandemic.

hello, reporting from cell block number 7, the house. slopped out this morning at half nine, governor let us have a lie in . porridge again, said it was cold in me cell, governor put another bar in todays exercise, under strict conditions, shopping, 2 metres away from other shoppers, herr flick at the entry supervising us, loving it. police car on the way back eyeballing us, prisoner 765897 , SIR ! back in me cell, governor let me have ten minutes more exercise in the garden, went out and shouted "i am free" little kid next door shouts he is four got a plan, tunnel ! must be easy ? no, probably die in a tunnel, me phone does. best go, some rock breaking to do, she has been baking again
