I had a customer spend £1800 changing from a 24,000 mile Fabia to a Citroen C1 or Peugeot 107 I forget which it was now, just so that he could pay £30 a year road tax as his Fabia was £130 a year. As he's only done 1,000 miles in the last 3 years the saving on fuel is negligible, but in about 16 years time he should start saving money on his road tax!!

‘Mind of the buyers’,going back to Astras with £30 tax as opposed to the better models at I think £140 .The punters would pay a grand extra for the poverty model because they were attracted by the low tax.

I remember having some cash taken by a police officer. The amount that was presented as evidence was significantly lower than the amount actually taken. Couldnt really complain about it to anyone at the time.

My friend did this a few years ago, however due to him being a black card holder they didn't care. Double standards .

The other reason for not taking card payments in full over the phone is it becomes distance selling, and has a whole new set of rules.
