Every car ready to go serviced / MOT if required... Most of them not worried if it's got 9/10 months MOT on collection. Think I had one last year who wanted 12 months it had 9 but willing to pay £50 for peace of mind.. cup of coffee, car in the work shop 40 mins later we're both happy ! Personally don't understand some who put cars up for sale then put it through the worjshop after selling it. None of know of hidden costs so surely better to get it prepped , yo uknow the costs and the car is ready to go. Customers love the fact its one journey local or national most want to drive it away same day, instant - money in the bank, stops them shopping elsewhere , cash flow ++++ Not rocket science IMO!

Too right, there is money in anything different. It just sometimes takes more patience and some guts in the first place. Sometimes the ice cream machines inside them are worth more than the van itself!

If you sell windows, glass, bibles and sniper rifles... CDX is to do with motor trade where the above three are a NO NO And I will be in the audience asking tricky questions about retail preferences to gloss, satin or matt finishes

Your better off buying a burger and ice cream van... little outlay, huge margin, drive off and disappear.....

Sometimes you can spend to long crunching numbers and end up doing nothing, why aim for ten why aim for anything just go buy a car do what needs doing and see where it takes you.

I've had two cars recently with recent Main Dealer MOT's (within 3 months)....... I've re-mot'd it and the brake pipes / ferrules and been DANGEROUS and I mean about to burst......... Just saying... I make sure everyone of my cars goes out safe, that's MY responsibility.

It’s 2019. The customer’s patience is measured in minutes not days. Have the cars FULLY ready to go and pride yourself on the speed of service and ruthless efficiency, customers appreciate that just as much if not more than full 12 months MOT.

Some great responses!!!! HAHAHAA!!! Council complaint formalised and submitted. "Subject Access Request" made to the council under GDPR - to get any and all info which the council holds on us, reference to my name and our property - including the Cllr's emails (The best bit is that I mentioned I have already obtained some of these and so I will be expecting duplicates - so not like they can pick and choose). It will be interesting to see if there's been any breaches of the Data Protection Act - but since the Cllr's email which names me was already FW'd to neighbours by the nob-jockey this may already constitute a breach. I've hand delivered a letter showing the grounds of my complaint to every neighbour who was included on the original email. I also wrote a covering letter pointing out that unlike his email, I am including everyone - including him. Since then, a neighbour has put a card through the post, and a couple of them have telephoned to say that they are sorry we had to deal with it and that they hope we get the apology we deserve. Other neighbours have laughed about the matter in the local pub, too - but EVERYONE has said that they have no business with what is parked on our drive and good luck to me. - It's made my mother feel a lot better and has shown her that people weren't finger pointing and it was only this nob causing the issue. I feel that I've pulled his pants down in front of everyone now so other than the Data Protection issue, I plan to leave it and move on. ...Hopefully he'll do the same.

I've been working like a dog all week to get cars advertised (I'm well behind) my last car sold on the 15th (7 this month). With 10 advertised this morning Iv'e sold 5 today, that's the most I have ever done in a day, I sold plenty of 4's in a day but 5 ! I've just halved my advertised stock from 10 to 5 in a day......... unbelievable....can't believe it..... Still got 12 in prep..... Whats your most memorable sales day ?
