I have stocked up in anticipation and will advertise 17 cars instead of 13.
In addition I advertise SOLD cars in the empty advert slots. Some of the SOLD I will utilise to full effect to also "manipulate" AT's price indicators.
I don’t think my dream car would qualify,62 to 64 Reliant Regal 3 wheeler. If you were lucky enough to get one of them in the late 60’s and advertised it in the evening local rag, punters would queue during the night to view the next morning.Because they only manufactured a handful each week, the used ones actually increased in value.I was 16 at the time and the first one in the queue always bought and asked for delivery. You only heard from the punter again when they asked a few months later if you would buy it back because they could not drive it.We just gave them back virtually what they paid and put the price up..........all unbelievable (and uninteresting) to most of you guys.
Hi Lastyboy
That sounds good, but thinking about it,I am unsure how that will work.Does that mean you will have to buy your plot from your family at the current market value who will then have to pay the appropriate capital gains tax on the proceeds. These days I imagine a good plot is worth a lot of money.
My family bought a massive ex franchise but in a rural location in 1999. Just got permission for 2 big houses which wont even cover a quarter of the site. I'm putting one of these up for myself next year. A few years time, sell the rest and sit in the sun.
Round my way, they'll knock down a phone box and build 30 flats on it. The latest trend is developing sites of pubs that have shut down.
Big dealership near me (imperials) 'had a fire' recently. Be interesting to see what happens to that site?
Houses, flats, mini supermarket, etc etc. Yes, in a few years time you can bet your arse one of those will be replacing used cars. But no, I don't need a pm or a business card.
Banger PX cars mate. Keep them the ones that are like £100 that run and drive. Leave 1 at bodyshop. Leave 1 at MOT. Just always swap them around so somethings always knocking about. Makes life so much easier.
