Dog hair

Recommended Posts

Afternoon all,

Can someone recommend a decent tool to get rid of dog hair? I've tried the usual rubber glove and hoover but it's taken me 2 hours and there's still some left over!

Wilcox or similar do a rubber dogbrush.

In the old days, my old man made me wrap sellotape around my hands (sticky side out obviously) you can use thicker tape, tape a large area and pull it off.

Otherwise it’s just elbow grease and brush and hoover as you go.

+1 on the rubber brush , then just dye/aerosol the carpet over the top

There is a tool / brush which is used to remove hairs from coats, looks like a hand held roller with a tear-off sticky tape. Does a great job if the hairs are not very thick and not very deep in the carpet.

Hoover and brush what you can - failing that dye the carpet or spray with matt black.

Not my problem now I have a new team of Valeters.  3 on site today from 7.30 until 5.30 - grafters too. Booked for every Tuesday.

Trick.. your old real leather chamois, don’t throw it out. When they are slightly damp there great for hair, rub vigorously and watch it pull out the hair.  :)  hth
