Up to 4 now, can't beat a cheeky deal first thing Monday morning! (It's a Polo though, so WILL be back with an engine light on some point!)
SC Derby 259 Posted September 12, 2016 I'd done 7 after 6 days.... Still on 7 now, not sure what's gone wrong but these extended quiet periods are really making it seem like hard work!

It doesn't seem to matter, who/where or what you are, we all get them! I've been doing this over 5 years and I'm yet to understand buying patterns / habbits........ TDB 31 Posted September 13, 2016 On 8 so far but it has gone very quiet.
Mat C 77 Posted September 15, 2016 I came into the month with 1 - done 7 by the 7th - not a sausage since! Desperate for stock too but went to BCA nottm BMW auction today ready to buy 5/6 and stuff was ridiculously expensive. Got 2 but still need 4/5 cars Trawling the net/sytner auction/dealer auction/autotrader now as we speak!
SC Derby 259 Posted September 15, 2016 (edited) Same stuck on 8. Never ever in 6 years known it so quiet. Used to doing 25-40 on average since I begun and I've never dipped below 20 EVER. Cant see me making 12 this month. Not a nice feeling. Edited September 15, 2016 by SC Derby
Rory RSC 596 Posted September 15, 2016 23 so far flying start so far and bought a load of stock this week so should hopefully be able to keep the momentum going. It's the nice spec stuff that's selling for me I would say. I have also had 2 both go belly up this week also with deposits on one customer has declined to proceed ( he was a bit odd anyway) and another one I have lost due to a catostrophic failure on cf24/7s part. They sent a customer who lived over 2 hours away to collect a car from us that was not paid out with no contact with me. Customer turns up car isn't valeted and I chased and chased for them to payout with nothing being done. customer ended up waiting around for 4 hours still no luck and he left and they rang half an hour later to release funds and customer told them to shove it. Reflectes terribly on my business.

Not that I like to use the weather as an excuse, but do you think this heat wave we're having is keeping punters away? I always think when it's scorching hot, people don't really fancy sitting in a roasting hot car?! That's what I'm clinging onto anyway! Although I'll never forget selling 2 cars on a Saturday when there was a foot of snow on the ground! I'm in quite a remote location and only had about 12 cars for sale, so was quite shocked! It will go crazy towards the end of the month as it always does...
Mat C 77 Posted September 16, 2016 I call it 3rd week syndrome, however its happened in the 2nd week for some reason! Weeks 1+2 are usually busy, 3 is quiet as no stock and buying and then payday comes and everyone shows up at once! Lets hope it all kicks off today. Best of luck
Tom 164 Posted September 16, 2016 Scratchy September, always hit and miss. One this week and that was a CF24./7, they had a cheek to tell my customer the car was over priced so only financing what they thought it was worth. To be fair though it was a bit over priced
Rory RSC 596 Posted September 16, 2016 i imagine the finance rate the customer was paying will be more over priced than the car
M.J 35 Posted September 16, 2016 5 this week, had a dreadful August so still trying to make up for that.
audispecialistlondon 1 Posted September 20, 2016 Let's hope the last 10 days deliver. Someone once said to me you do as much in the final 10 as the first 20. We will see! Fingers crossed and good luck oh and I had a customer today refuse a Nissan Navarro (pickup) because although it was immaculate he suspected it may of been used by a builder. Complete lunatic

Could have been worse ! I drive down to Aylesbury - pick this little gem up only couple of years old , call him to say " I HAVE YOUR CAR READY HERE " .. Come and looks at it , .." Sorry wrong 'shade' of red , I don't want it " !!! I explained that was the ONLY FLAT red they did .. He didn't have it ! On wards & Upwards .. he came in a few years later asking me find a Passat Estate - I Couldn't help him !
