  1. ive done plenty of good in my lifespan been a witness in court a few times too time for some young unns to do there civic duties now anyway i voted brexit so if i reported it it might be construed as a race issue because all voting papers have a unique code on them just sayin
  2. no unless you stipulate you are a repairing garage at trade plate renewal ie you are say a testing station you would be better to say you have been to a repair garage and returning to base im assuming you dont have repair garage facilities and or you only have one set of plates for demonstration purposes ive just remembered you also had to sign an Affidavit on the renewal this year and enclose a copy of your insurance which will be clear what your insurance actually covers be careful just sayin...........
  3. https://mattersoftesting.blog.gov.uk/mot-services-were-working-on-27-march-2018/ including New data on ‘Check the MOT history of a vehicle’ Something else we’ve been working on this month, is adding heavy vehicle (HGV and PSV) data to the ‘Check the MOT history of a vehicle’ service – and that will be available publically in April. Many of you told us through feedback that you’d find this really useful, so we’ve added it in.
  4. it did have the factory music i assume too
  5. the system isn't devised to have people try and short cut it this is why they are using a blunt instrument to stop it i really cant understand why any trader still wants to run a sales car
  6. i would say yes but once it fires the immobiliser is stopping it to run, look at the data it says no comms what did they do under the bonnet if nothing i would be thinking a cluster or plug to cluster fault youve been on youtube for basic understanding i asume
  7. not going there im afraid ive reached an age where i realise i cant change the world so ive given the baton away
  8. the problem is the generation now ie under 28 at least will read reviews and will believe what they are told so as much as within reason i do not take notice of reviews either i do, because i check trip advisor before booking a hotel,i have a lifetime of knowledge to help me cut the wheat from the chaf but everything is now coming from the nanny state so people aren't conditioned to think for them selves, this is why you can sell a brand new car via the internet car unseen just sayin.......
  9. well ropes on special offer at wickes this week
  10. exactly the same here, however before he started using autotrader he was using ebay privately and i looked at his buying history to see he had bought 12 main dealer service stamps and lots of service books off ebay too guess what every car hes selling has all work done including new timing belts and every one has full service history hopefully it wont be long before he trips on his own laces
  11. just go through the motions this job is s*** sometimes
  12. independent bodyshops sometimes have excess space in a corner if you have one, just make sure all cars are locked up so they dont get used as spares machines when you arent there or mobile canteens for the spotty junior and his large mac
  13. Every car is different so each one has to be assessed prior to work i have used neat thinners on a cloth to remove nicotine on plastic trims neat thinners on stubborn car seat marks taken interiors out in the summer and tfr or g101 then cold power cleansed them i even use the poundland upholstery cleaner if i ever bob their shop in but cant remember how much these are for upholstery the worse thing is where the car has had something like scotchguard previously introduced to the material as then the valeter doesn't get down deep steam cleaning is borderline not doable just like using it underbonnet, those days are gone unless you want problems in the future with electrical gremlins once its dried out and the green starts on connectors cant stand cars where the interiors wet the windows for days and then the musk smell begins talking of which you can now buy these........http://www.poundland.co.uk/damp-traps-2-pack...smell nice too
  14. it would appear you are outsourcing everything from checking the cd works to cleaning the glass be warned unless you use more than one source then it will be taken as red you are an easy touch, just like becoming a regular in the pub and being made to wait when a new face comes in and gets served even though you are waiting just sayin
  15. i assume those that bought them outright owned the batteries thing is unless you is a dealer you are going to get pounded if something goes wrong once sold as you will be at the mercy of people who really know how to pull your trunks down dont do it ring dealer and ask him for a trade in price of the reg before you do anything most probably seller has already done this
  16. what do you do about the MID then?

  18. one of those was going to be my first car what with a brand new ticket and yawl then i looked underneath and saw bits of cut up duckhams cans pidgeon welded on all the outriggers badly covered with underseal with too much sand in the mix and so walked away, well ran actually to go on to buy an even bigger heap with the subframe held in with wood and another new ticket, mmmmmmmm mot s eh who really needs them once got a car in chop with the caliper held on with 6" nails
