BCA Grade 1 - windshield chipped/cracked
metcars replied to steve1958's topic in General Dealer Chat
I feel for you Steve, you’ve had a lot of hassle recently? -
I think you hit the nail on the head.
-
I’m not much of a ‘wheeler dealer’ guy, but wasn’t that thing left in a hotel car park over night? That must have been parted out?
-
Wow, impressive how quickly the police have managed to return Mike’s golf? Outstanding?

Vauxhall Insignia Link issues

Have you tried the classic open palm smack on the dashboard top? -
I remember cards in phone boxes?

I’ve got an account with both. Had my Manheim account from back when they were NCA. Just my opinion but BCA have the superior stock and Manheim have the better customer experience?

Can those women service a ‘range’ for less than £2.5k?

My understanding is that selling platforms are now being forced to report back once a cash/sales limit is reached. The bots do the heavy lifting in all this.

Named Driver Car Insurance NCD after Bereavement of Main Driver
metcars replied to ArthurDaley's topic in General Dealer Chat
Not 100% sure but I heard Churchill’s may consider trade NCD? -
So, will this include Facebook? Because, if the devil casts his net there what a catch he’d bring. Seriously, I thought they already had these powers and a little bird told me the auction house report suspicions of money laundering? https://www.theguardian.com/money/2024/jan/01/selling-goods-online-be-warned-hmrc-will-soon-know-about-it

“Cozzie life” Previous owners thinking that saving money not servicing/maintaining their vehicles properly was good idea? They wrote the cheques, you cash them!

Professional diagnostic equipment is hugely expensive. Cheap diagnostic equipment just sends sends you up blind alleys. Find a tech that knows how to diagnose faults and let him buy the tools?
-
Is the damage recorded? Facebook marketplace seems awash with ‘copart flips’ in various states of repair these days.
-
Anyone else having trouble logging in these days. I notice they’ve pinned a message on their website about it. I seem to have good days and bad days on my various devices. Can’t wait to hear from my account manager! Groan!

There is some ‘customer resistance’ to red. I remember a punters wife once saying “I’m not driving around in a fooking fire engine!”
-
Rule number 1: Never put a car up for sale that’s not retail ready?
-
It was a ballsy move to let that car out to a customer like that. Pregnant or not?

Maccess, those were the days! Were those the same Luxury mats that the edges used to curl up?
-
Seriously. I recently treated myself to a ‘genuine’ set of Ford mats for my smoker and they are NOT what they used to be!
-
Savage wheel trims! what about those ‘universal fit’ centre consoles with cassette storage you got from Halfords? And those cheap mats that always ended up wedged behind the peddles!
-
My memory’s not what it was, but weren’t the importers concerned about low spec and dressed them up with wheel trims, stickers and radios.
-
Yeah, where does cap get its info?
-
Good question. Especially when you see what an ancient ‘worn smooth’ 400k mile ex private hire Prius makes! Selling a 10yr old Tesla is terrifying, good luck with that! I want to be well out of this game before that happens. Fortunately I’ve got my over 60s travel card now so bah humbug!
