Thanks. I actually only put it on as a joke in response to an earlier post but my contract is up in a couple of months so I might buy a phone & go SIM only.

(and no Mark101, I don’t mean for the single use burner phone ).

I would recommend it as as stands just now I've been on sim only for years looking to make some changes soon that's  why   I made the original topic last week as. I'm looking at. Making some changes maybe towards some older model phones as these seem a good deal and I'm always open to advice I also believe we should Be able to help each other other with business decisions like cameras computers not just car or motor related stuff sensible discussions within reason that help our business and make it grow

your joke was actually funny though Bhm actually laughed when I seen it something we need to do in those times or we would probably cry .

I watched Edd China's Youtube channel video response to leaving Wheeler Dealers and I'm still kinda neutral on that whole aspect, its a shame it had to happen and its clouded a good show. But its clear that Mike is passionate about cars and Wheeler Dealers. It was also interesting hearing his opinion on secondhand prices and CAP. Sure, they can try hold the prices but if the demand simply isn't there to sell them at the price they want..........interesting times are ahead!

Yeah I agree  watched it also just watched a few of Mikes responses on there too but suppose it would get to you if people kept asking the same questions I think personally he's actually an ok guy I think remember asking him a few question years back on twitter when I was working with a car dealer company that was being set up years ago he always replied and even got some off the guys from mike brewer motors To send some merchandise which I though was decent of him

I actually like ant also on wheeler dealers and you can see he has a lot of skill and still follow a lot of ed stuff too

guess it happens to everyone I've had fallouts over the year with suppliers mechanics etc it's just has to worst if your in the public eye .

  4. Don't tell ling . I don't mind Mike maybe didn't like the way he handled the Edd China thing just my opinion and there's two sides to every story  but who doesn't make mistakes . Wish him and his family all the best in health wealth and business from casper and the crew . And ask him if he needs a co presenter for the new wheeler dealers ..

Learned to drive in Reliant Regal 3 wheelers when I was 16 using my motor cycle licence.I rarely had my own car although I did have a nipple pink Cortina 1600E ( with an 8 track stereo) for a short while.I was never interested in owning a top car although I could afford one in 1972 basic wage £10 but I was earning £150 per week.We worked long hours and on Sat and Sunday doing 20 was normal.

My dad used to fit 8 tracks in a lot of is cars remember him having one set up in the garage there still a couple in his shed and a load of 8 track cassettes he has dementia and Alzheimer's now so might dig them out sometime for him see if I can get a player working or pick one up off ebay so he can hear his old music again

when I was younger I used to like a nice car now I'd run around in anything remember my mate having an Audi Rs he always drive fancy stuff and all the young auctions drivers loved it to me it was just a car think it comes from the buying and selling . A guess it's the  with houses and that too etc as well

I was given the task of collecting a new F/Daytona in about 72.Stopped at a services on the M1,came back out and there was a crowd of people drooling around the car.I made sure to tell them that the car was shite,it jumped out of 2nd and a charging light kept winking. No big deal,I knew it was bought with 2 months chucky commission. ( 10 grand ) imagine that !

Showing your age now trade vet  always like to listen to your stories and enjoy them better than watching heartbeat reruns on the late 80s I seen my first Ferrari couldn't tell you the model was just a nipper just remember it was red with a Ferrari badge funnily enough was at a repair car garage for mechanical work .

Three had their own network from launch. They are part of Hutchison telecoms and their network was the first 3G network. Which is why they are called Three.  Smarty and Superdrug mobile piggy-back on Three (Hutchison own Superdrug and a load of other companies).

Virgin mobile piggy-back on EE. But Virgin broadband have their own fibre network and don't use BT lines. Its all owned by Liberty Global.

Wasn't aware of that about three thanks everyday is a school day As for virgin that will be why we don't have virgin in our area we only have the bt lines

  11. 4 hours ago, Halfpenny said:

Virgin mobile is a virtual network that actually uses EE's infrastructure.

Similar to what three was when the first started think there now there own network . Know a few people who are with virgin mobile and say there very good as well as there internet and tv packages though I can't get it in or area which is a shame though I might look at them from business mobiles .

Like all Broadband and Telephone providers utilise BT's lines (as far as I am aware).

You correct Mark most the others rent the line from bt which is now spilt into two different company's bt and open reach open reach are owned by bt but do all line repairs for sky vodafone virgin etc . My home broadband is with.bt and had a fault open reach were out.a twice both nice lads and got chatting to them and they were telling me about it. Funnily enough they say you have more bargaining power if you with sky Vodafone etc due to the amount they pay to rent the line as opposed to bt .

I personally would not print a magazine, just a digital copy for £50 a year. Or if people are insistent on a tangible copy, then that's £100 a year.

Just this second renewed by subs and it was less than £50. What a bargain, even if it is just for Bike Mike's column.

The website is going strong though - this is the views so far this year! Look at the jump! Shame it doesn't bring in the money in the same way yet.

That's very, very kind of you - thank you!

This is a good idea I've a subscription for car mechanics mag which charges for both paper print form and the digital subscription or you can have either or as mark says £50 each separately or I would combine it so you could have both for £75 for a year if you like would be the way I would go .

    Thanks.

its been a long Arduous process and has  made me realise that (most of) the motor trade should be able to hold its head up high when compared to the incompetence and general f*ckwhittary of estate agents.

You do often wonder sometimes how some people in business get by don't you .

I think if you had exchanged before then it could be possible. No is a bit more tricky. Apparently there are some Solicitors writing covid clauses in the contracts...but to me those are kind of like how long is a piece of string

All the best in your new home when you finally get there
