But there have been incidents when it isn't instant or isnt paid within 2 hours. The small print clearly says "faster payment bank transfers can take up to 2 hours but usually are much sooner* " * it can take longer if any checks are done. Yet a lot of people think they are instant. "I sent money to myself or my mum and she got it instantly" Yes they are only instant if you have sent money to that person before. But can take bloody ages if the banks do a check which they DO regularly in order to monitor fraud and crime!! I did say in another topic on here that people dont read properly

Don't need engineers you'll have more robots. I can go on... Driverles cars - driving involves multitasking using eyes ears hands etc. They're deskilling people. They're making humans obsolete one way or another. -
Sorry i got my % mixed up. What do other card providers charge?

Blame technology and society. People don't want to read any more or even type. They're becoming lazy. Facebook even has preloaded messages on market place "isit still for sale?" "fsh?" etc and you just have to click. People say things like this make life easier. But is really typing a sentence making life hard? On FB people just spam "i want car £2000 to spend" yet people spam them with cars £5k+ this is an example of BOTH lazy and thick people. In another thread about payment methods, there's the mention of cash. Yet cash is seen as criminal nowadays. It isnt though. Technology has made people lazy people are unable to count money these days especially big wads. There's videos on YouTube about how cashless China is already. You can pay a street vendor via your phone by scanning his barcode. As an ex copper yes some crime can be committed with hard cash. Yet even more crime can be committed with electronic methods such as contactless cards, fraud and the dark underworld of bitcoin. Technology will mean authorities will control your business. I dont just mean tax. Electronic payment and online advertising - if you been a bad boy at the click of a button your accounts could be frozen or even your site blocked. 20 years from now and a lot of people will be unable to read and write and this will be due to incomptency and laziness thanks to technology. -
Do you guys wait until you received funds into your account if its done by bank transfer? I had one customer once wait 6 hours. I ended up dropping him home. When i returned home I checked my bank and funds had been received. He collected the next morning. Following this incident I had a young couple who said they wont wait around until funds are received into my account and will give me the reference number and in their eyes this should suffice. Has anyone heard of Sumup card machine? It works via your phone. There is a £30 setup fee and per transaction you're charged 0.3% I believe

The whole mitigating circumstances of the turbo issue: You should find out when it went She had the for 6 months now at what point did it go so if it was Nov to Jan she had plenty of time to contact you but didn't You or your legal rep will have to push it to get answers or push the judge to get answers. Had you lost the case she probably would have claimed it anyway Forgive me for being a pain (it is late and i cannot sleep so am wondering on here) when you submitted the initial claim form doesnt the other party get a chance to make representation to settle before it gets to the judge? If so and she didnt mention it there that is something you can challenge her on.

AT are like virgin media Just been on the phone to them for charging me £54 pm for landline and broadband New packages elsewhere are £31-38 for 12 or 18 months However the only good thing with virgin is the engineer visits are free whilst others charge from £90-150 per visit or per hour! AT does sell for me the others hmm

It hadnt been if it wasn't a female. Had she been a he you would have won. Its all this bs equalities nonsense. Constant crap about equal pay yet women earn the same as men in the same jobs. If they want to talk about equality why do men get treated like crap in divorce proceedings and child custody?
-
If the turbo has gone it can be repaired and she will be driving it. So even if you film her today or tomorrow its too late. You're only chance is if you can get cctv from when she drove out.

Royal Mail vans service history
TangoVictor32 replied to TangoVictor32's topic in General Dealer Chat
Thanks for the quick response folks. My issue is who do i contact and i would ideally need a number for royal mail service centre. BHM i have had little interest for 4 months now. Those that contact want service history. And most Dont contact because it's a red van Dont know what would be worse a red van or an ex dhl yellow one! -
Does anyone know how can i obtain an ex royal mail vans service history? Do they use main dealer or have their own mechanic? Van came with no service history but wasn't directly from royal mail so it was sold to someone and was re auctioned.

How do you pass time on dead days?

Its the cyclist. He has other videos where he does the same and annoys drivers. Hate little runts like him -
For me some funny videos to get the mood up https://youtu.be/2PFRdEUN240 Watch from 52 seconds if it makes it easier. This never gets boring

Choosing your customer type is relatively easy but you cannot choose if they're local or not. Sell the cars that attract a certain group. A jag would attract a 40/50+ year old chap and not a 25 year old trackies chav who will prefer an ST. On other hand only a handful of 40/50+ year olds will want an ST unless they're the you know old chav types.

They going to burn these empty units down and build retirement homes or student accommodation. Forget motor trade motorists are being hated so much nowadays. Wont be surprised come another 15years and most of you will end up selling bicycles!
-
Sorted it. Its new the rules. Old chap said its N1 but N1 there are two types. Van upto 3000kg is N1 class 4 Van 3001kg to 3500kg is N1 class 7 Talk about confusion! He put it down to class 4 but in reality makes no difference as the new certs just show N1 anyway. My worry was that if my previous mot certs show class 4 a billy might ask me why have you changed it to class 7!
-
Hi folks got a van in for MOT and the chap at the garage says its class 7. Weight of van is bang on 3000kg. He thinks its class 4 only if upto 3ton but mine is 3 ton. The old MOT papers all show class 4 I am in for a retest. I think its only a few quids difference but grandad at the mot station thinks he knows best. Does it make a difference at all?

If they become pushy you can cover yourself more by providing: Presuming you got the car from auction the invoice will have mileage of the vehicle on it. You then got your advert with the stated mileage and your pdi with the mileage. So that proves you didnt do a 150+ mile round trip. On the alleged date you might have been out shopping for example and your bank statement could say you was elsewhere. Or another possibility is your buyer did have an accident and they have the wrong date of the incident hence they come to you. You might need to speak to your buyer to cover your own backside
-
They cannot just claim against your insurance based on the number plate... Has the other person in the accident verified what car it is? Is it the same model and make as your car? It might be totally something different. When manufacturers make cars and plates are assigned some plates are very similar so plate could have been misread especially if it was damaged in the accident.
-
Is that 30 to 40 by yourself? No i fully understand your views. That's why it is generally hard for families to do business unless you're the Trumps of course!
-
Well the investment was a reason. But then we knew it's a lot of work and we can split the work. Sorry when i said we had specific i didn't mean we stick to these roles. We do chop and change. So the others know the different parts of the business as well. This way we can get more days off as well. We were used to 4 on 4 off as an example so we needed a way for time off. Obviously we dont do 4 on 4 off or 3 long days on and 4 off. But we have the man power to take time off without loss of income. We have 70+ stock from £4k to £15k (£20k max) We try not to buy cars that attracts mainly thugs like GTi's / ST etc as they expect too much for their money and give the car a beating when they come to view it or "test" it as they call it.

A phone call is more personal. Dont get me wrong but written text is written in one manner and read another. (Think of some instructions in a flat pack that make no sense) @trade vet just asked me something and after a long day I nearly read it wrong and thought he was having a dig with sarcasm. Whereas a phone call... You hear a persons voice... Always say "cheers" than "thank you very much". The latter is dull, its robotic like the virgin media call centres based abroad. I didnt elaborate. I know the fellas over time and at work... Life and death situations let's say. Over the years we progressed and in the force as you progress you learn more about management and running of a team or department rather than front line policing. So since we all were fairly up in the ranks we had a lot of experience and knew what each of our strongest points are. For example those that were good with communications prefer the sales side of things. I know what you mean about cock ups. But the key is communication. Be clear, be specific, if in doubt leave it out.
