  1. By what I have seen of your ads Nick they are very good so I can understand a punter coughing up quite quickly. I tend to throw some cars on when I am busy(25 to 30 cars some months) and my attention to detail isn't what it should be. I should employ someone to do other tasks to give me time but I don't seem to be able to find the right person.
  2. According to Autotrader people spend 11 weeks online average when buying a new car(to them). I suppose if you change it around they might think they are looking at something which has just gone on instead of something that has been sat for months!
  3. If you aint advertised it with Bluetooth and made no reference to it when presenting the car then surely there isn't a legal case under CRA. Having said that if £150 will sort it out I would do it for them if they have paid screen price and been good to deal with.
  4. I wonder how a gearbox casing could smash, can't be down to the punter now can it! For future reference put in your returns policy that the customer is liable for getting the car back to you(aT THEIR EXPENSE), point it out to them and get them to sign it. If the cause is genuine then you can offer to reimburse them, if they have fooked the car themselves then it is down to them! I bet she has taken the car in to the garage because the box will be whining or crunching and is probably fooked, driven to destruction!
  5. Well said Trade Vet. I honestly don't know how people can draw so much money when others are doing it all for nothing, £2 million between 12 of them, they are having a right royal do!! Foodbanks are the way forward for me...….giving to them before you all start
  6. Absolutely true EPV. I have had a week of rephotographing cars and rewording ads just to try and paint a slightly better/different picture. Perhaps it has worked!
  7. Quite right Nick, should have said unexpected(3 Autoraper and 1 off ebay).
  8. No worries,I was always told the DSG is a decent box compared to the CVT. The CVT is supposedly quite horrid?
  9. Had a real busy year overall but the last 3 months have been fairly tough for me. This month didn't start so great either but did 6 today(4 out of nowhere), there really is no job like it! The lows are low but the highs are high....its what keeps us doing it I suppose! Probably won't sell anything for a week now LOL

  11. He said it was a CVT AD, aren't they different to the DSG?
  12. How old is it? The boxes can be problematic if oils haven't been changed fairly regularly, couple that with the cabby roof gives a lot that can go wrong in my opinion but I always look at each car on its own merit. If everything seems alright then fair enough, I would give one a go!
  13. They are convinced we are twats...………. deal with them as such AD!!
  14. I don't think Hyundai have a national system as others do, I may be wrong?
  15. May have been serviced when MOT'd, get garage details off VOSA MOT check and give them a ring. Give it a try at the price, you can always go down if needed!!
  16. I have sold plenty over the years but only ones that have been repaired and on the road a few years, but have never had a problem with them but tell them it is recorded and don't make a story up to what it had done. Ratesetter will finance them on a PL but % can be high.
  17. What if he got the Leaf at real handy money?
  18. Looks like a bright old Merc....Old pic?
  19. I remember members of a particular "community" doing such things with Mercs years ago, showing the nice newer and cleaner one at appraisal and then chopping and old goat in on delivery. They were shrewd and would choose the right time to do it(Horrible rainy nights etc)
  20. To be fair they weren't a PLC and I coughed to the area director and told him I fooked up, he laughed and said that we can all make mistakes.....PHEW.
  21. I bet you never made that mistake again . I had one when I was working in the main dealers about 15 years ago, sales lad brings appraisal form with all customers details and car details but I aiways insisted that I drove and appraised every car because I never missed a trick. I walked the car and drove it, noted a couple of dings in the side and went back inside, I passed the customer at the sales lads desk and said what a nice car he had, he did laugh but I didn't think anything of it. I gave the sales lad the offer sheet and we did the deal. A few days later the car came in swap, I had it marked for retail but the sales lad had said about the work that it needed. I said it was fairly minor and to stick it on the pitch with awaiting prep on it, he started to laugh and said that I had to be kidding as the car had a big hit on the front end. I went to see it and sure enough the front bumper and bonnet had been poleaxed, the bonnet was more of a Vshape. I went mental with the sales lad for taking the car in like that, he said it was like that when I looked at the car. To cut a long story short I checked the CCTV when he first arrived and sure enough the damage was there....A blind man on a galloping horse would have spotted it. I apologised and spent nearly 4 grand putting the car right. I took a fair ribbing for this for a little while as you can imagine..... lesson learned.
  22. You forgot the flat caps too..... everyone has a flat cap!!
  23. SSSHHHHHH Don't be telling people how good the North East is...…. we don't want it full of Southerners
