Pretty shocking to think you'd get any chance of comeback being in the trade. Also, I doubt he would've been aware of the DMF issue as they can fail instantly.
-
Are you a trader? I know it says ‘trade to trade’ in the title, just a bit confused...
-
We cant always look at these things as a negative. It might also mean that less inspections are carried out?
-
I agree. Have noticed the prices have been slightly more ‘sensible’ this week. Do you get them delivered Simon?
-
What do they do for £13? Wash and vac?
-
Mine was a petrol Exclusive in grey with low miles. Had a good response!
-
Good luck grant, let us know! As I say, I’m not far from you and noticed a considerable increase since Friday.
-
True. Plus he won’t want anyone knocking on his door when it does bang 2 miles down the road
-
If he’s acting like a private seller in disguise then surly he doesn’t give a shit about the neighbours?
-
Hate to say it grant, but I sold my 3008 today lol
-
Wouldn’t say it to your face though. Plenty of keyboard warriors about, makes me laugh.
-
What’s the thought process behind this? I’m assuming it doesn’t have tax and he thinks by parking it in a supermarket car park he’ll get away with it? Wrong, that’s the first place Dvla look!
-
Interested to know your thoughts on this. I sold a car to a chap 5 months back, he part exchanged an old smoker that’s been sitting collecting dust in my unit ever since. He emails me today saying he has only just noticed that the tax wasn’t cancelled on his smoker and he has been paying by DD for 5 months and the dvla don’t wanna know. He wants me to refund him the £130 as it’s my fault. I sent the yellow slip off but dvla haven’t received it apparently.

I’ve sold a few just not the usual amount! Just a few miles from Grant. I drove past the other day and saw the lovely 3008 outside! Lol
-
Grant, I’m not far from you and I’m dead too. Nothing happening whatsoever for 6-8 weeks now!
-
Like! He’s probably told his mates down the pub and they laughed him out the door! Particularly as one of them will have a 2004 e46 for less money!

Hahaha that is brilliant!!

I have too experienced pretty much all of the above! The worst part for me was when punters turned up, they NEVER park on your driveway, they will park over a neighbours drive, most likely the drive of the ones that hate you lol
-
A good point raised here - however when the council reject the application, that will remove the option of pleading ignorance when the council knock on the door as you have already been told no? Keep well away from the council is my advice here!
-
Its nice when people break the mould every now and then! Whats this punter moaning about? An engine light come on? BMW im guessing lol
-
and you wonder why they shut you down Dave? Lol
-
You won’t get away with taxing them and leaving them in the road either. That will REALLY piss the council off. There is a rule that if you are selling cars, you can’t park 2 within 500m of one another. Back to the OP, I had a similar problem years ago, I lived in a nice area and started selling cars from home. Could fit about 8 on my drive. It wasn’t long before the neighbours started complaining, they hated foreigners turning up late, and me having old part ex smokers on the drive. Anyway I moved in the end and all was well. I moved to another area where property prices are considerably less. I had the council round a couple years ago, they didn’t speak to me they just took pictures of my house and stock etc. To this day I haven’t heard from them. I am assuming they had a complaint but because I have no signs or bunting or balloons anywhere they’re fine with it. I too make an effort with the neighbours and even bought a few cars from them and made a tidy profit!

Correct. When these cretins ask questions like ‘is it mint?’ I think to myself, if it was that good it wouldn’t be on an eBay auction would it

Read the negative reviews. Sums it all up really!
