Just a Stanley blade. Simples

To be fair I picked up a few cheapies on Tuesday at Enfield. Haven’t sold them yet though lol!
-
Was it white grant? Good price that regardless.
-
Yeah I thought that too. Loads of new faces. Yeah I normally go twice during the week. I was collecting a car yesterday but kept an eye on the hall, had to laugh at a few going for retail and above!
-
I was also at bca Enfield yesterday. As nick says it’s pretty normal. However the prices were stupid yesterday!
-
Lol spot on
-
So they don’t start charging storage until a couple days after the invoice is paid? Not a couple days after winning bid?
-
Get ready for them storage fees nik!

I was in Bca Enfield today picking up a couple cars I bought online, and I overheard a man speaking with a member of staff about opening an account. The staff member came from an office somewhere to speak with him. From what I heard, the staff said he could put the man on a gold account straight away on a probation period and if he buys 3 cars in 3 months he stays on gold for the rest of the year? Paying gold fees from the word go? Has any one experienced this before?

Yeah I hate this! Then they sit and watch you struggle to undo it all and count it

Yes I agree. I remember having a meeting with a Nextgear rep about a year or so ago, the price per car is just the beginning. They have an annual fee and an audit fee (monthly) if you are using less than 30% (I think) of your agreement. The fees are just non-stop. Great if the turnover is quick but too dangerous for me. A simple business loan is the way forward imo

Loads of time wasters this weekend. More than I’ve had over the past 6 months put together

Lol I just re-read my post. I didn’t mean his cars are shit, far from it in fact! I mean if he took in a shit car he could make it look good with his photography skills.

Dacia’s

I’m with EPV on this one. I know it’s too late now but that is one boring car. Can’t see many people wanting a standard 3 series in red with cloth seats. I would take a look at Nicks website, he makes shit cars look atttactive.

Benji, it’s not an Astra is it? You’re getting closer to buying one! Maybe another year to go!
-
Thanks for the info. Do you buy many privates or all auction?
-
People turning up to ‘appointment only’ unannounced.

What price range are you selling grant?
-
Danny is only a mile down the road from me. I’ll go see him and get him on here lol! I doubt he knows another forum exists!

Oil from Asda!!? What’s he gonna use, cooking oil?

Welcome Miles. This is the first time I’ve heard of this happening. I didn’t know it was possible to reverse a bank transfer? It’s extremely worrying as the majority of us receive large amounts via bank transfer on a regular basis. It sounds as though there is a mistake somewhere! However the customer has noticed it and taking advantage. Personally I would phone the bank again and not put the phone down until you get an answer. Once you have an answer I’d be going round the blokes house and having it out with him on his doorstep without prior warning. This is bang out of order and makes my piss boil just thinking about it.

+1. Any ideas on how you’re going to achieve this nick?

Imagine buying a TV from somewhere like Curry’s, then taking it back with sellotape over the top and demanding a refund, but they’re not allowed to look inside the box until you’ve got your money back and left. Can you imagine that working? No different to what’s happening here.

I don’t think writing to the courts is a bad thing, just make sure you keep all the evidence. Unfortunately I think this will go to court. You just need to make sure you are seen to be doing the right thing, and you can prove it. I.e offered him the money back following an inspection etc. He is the one being unreasonable not you. The judge won’t care who replied to who or who hasn’t read letters etc. The judge will just look at the facts. You have offered a refund, however following a suspicious set of events you want an inspection first. That’s perfectly reasonable.
