  1. 4 a week is some effort, fair play.
  2. Had that happen to me years ago on a Nissan cabstar. Fucking scary.
  3. Too late for that! Anyway I was self employed. I applied for a new Amex 3 weeks ago and it got approved and issued out with a £15k limit. I wish I had applied for a non Amex now. Don’t want to have too many application for credit to be honest although I could probably stand one more application before it affects my rating. You had a missed call earlier, number ending in 496. That was me. Was ringing to pick your brain about all this.
  4. Well, bca def don’t take Amex and a lot of my stock comes from privates tbh
  5. Yes i’ve found this out the hard way! I suspect it’s because if the CC is a high reward one it’s open to all sorts of abuse. People recycling money at 1.4% can soon add up to a lot of points.

    Sounds like it’s already here!
  7. Circumstances have dictated that I am throwing myself into this mate. Thanks for the heads up
  8. A sale, not THE sale. I have a stock of 5, In theory, when I sell one of the original 5 that isn't funded by a CC, that pays off the CC and I take the profit and reinvest. As for an engine going pop, well, there are risks in business. I either take them or I don't. If you have a funding suggestion I'm all ears mate. Currently looking at Close Bros stock funding plans, so I'm all ears.
  9. Just to clarify, the credit would be repaid when a sale is made.
  10. Sorry to dig this up again, I've landed myself in an awkward situation and could use some advice on this exact subject. I've decided to roll the dice and go full time at this and had a couple of personal Amex cards lined up to fund the additional stock I'll need to hopefully draw a living. I had intended to use my own card machine (iZettle type thing) but Amex have dropped a little bombshell on me today and informed me that it's a no no and rapped me across the knuckles. To say it's set me on the back foot is an understatement. It's frustrating, I have access to around £25k of credit but can't use it for what I need. Has anyone who uses CC's to fund stock (or has done) got any ideas? It looks like my aim of making a go of this business full time is scuppered before it's even started!
  11. I use Lawgistics pads. I don't really mind if people think it looks unprofessional, I mind if it's worded properly and covers my arse!

  13. Hersheys isn’t even chocolate as I underaged the definition, absolute crap
  14. Quite right, that's why I always keep a 16 year old 730i with 245,000 miles on the clock just to show the punters I'm no slouch
  15. I can’t speak for others but what others think of me doesn’t really cross my mind. I’ve loved BMW’s since the e36 model and as an 18 year old whippersnapper I drove my bosses SC RR and have had a hard on for them since. They are like nothing else to drive. I must admit the m4 vert was very showy but generally I drive the cars I want to for me.
  16. Very true but like the fantasy girl you’d probably let it shat in your mouth and ask for seconds
  17. Let it be said those hot wheels came via the proceeds of working for living, not selling cars! I expect this game will see to it that i’m driving a 13 year old pug within 3 months
  18. Love the look of the sport just prefer the cabin of his bigger brother. I’ve been lucky, i’ve found the only Land Rover in the world without an issue. For now.
  19. Ha ha ha i used to drive a comp pack m4 vert. Brand new, loaded, £75k list price. That went and I now have a supercharged RR. This isn’t a brag but just me making a point of agreeing that I now fancy myself driving a Focus Estate. I reckon in a few years i’ll be keeping my eye out for a Kia Soul. So I actually have one.
  20. Quite the business model I have to say.
  21. What's a general approx percentage or fee that most franchises would be paying to put their cars through the block?

I’m sure you chaps have all been here before to some degree. All of a sudden for no reason you’ll sell 6 in a week and start to panic about not having enough stock!
  23. Which is how I view it but the point has been previously mentioned that it's a useful way to engage your buyers, if you have it up for £4,995 and someone makes an offer of £4,700 you can contact them to say you're close on price and that £4,850 would do it. I can see how that would work. It's something of a moot point for me anyway as I've fucked eBay off out of it.
