  1. Good man for standing your ground and getting shut..
  2. Agreed, avoid apps were possible... too much "data collection" with some of them..
  3. Can only agree here, the headlines of big savings are the stuff of moist dreams especially if it means less outgoings for better service (more sales)... but it'll always be motivated stock profile, regions and billies you target with the stock.. horses and courses.. But, I does make an interesting read and is certainly a business cost to be researched with each sale as those stats come in handy year end/renewal time.. Discussing this thread offline, it became obvious all I spoke too remember AT on the newsagent shelf.. so its therefore there "go to" for cars for sale.. change to a young audience.. What is AT weekly mag?? its all on their phone ... Comes back to stock profile = likely billy profile = where the car is best placed to sell! I know fk all about marketing or e commerce (would love to know more) so learning as I read all the threads and thoughts here... thanks for sharing!
  4. Was it BIN or bidding against hall? Did you nick it? Vendor, grade? Belle Vue... uck.. in person if I must... Last time I had an assured headache, they did cough (£900) but only after I had a qoute and agreed the work in writing. The fault I had (electric tailgate) was not present on the assured report, luckily!
  5. This would look good on an "about me" page... Wheeler Dealer extraordinaire and spotter of the following... "a subculture of morons cretins and imbeciles, absolute pond-life and they are getting worse" ... . Unless of course you have read the description, watched the vid and sent a depo.. then the price is right so ... Come on down....
  6. I'd agree, on sale days virtually no space for card holders! Have even seen spaces taken up by 10-15 empty car transporters.... Most inner city locations would be better selling the land for redevelopment and moving to a more suitable out of town location with more space / access etc.. Some locations are not fit for purposes anymore as the game and volumes have changed significantly... An old disused airfield (Bruntingthorpe) is an ideal choice... but I bet these are in high demand for housing development! I got this in an email last week... Land wanted..... FFS
  7. I'd say once you have found a good one, keep a hold of them and let them know you prefer to use them; may help get in and out sooner.... a good one will always be busy... prices are on the increase in general.. So I'd expect them to head north from time to time.. electricity / compliance / heating for spray booth / disposal of sh*te off the vehicles... its not all just about sanding and spraying.. if its done well, then it aint a topic of conversation you will be having with billy.. and lets face, some billies do not know how to converse.. full stop.
  8. Show it that 1/4in Snap on... that'll sort the tw*t once and for all...
  9. I'd agree here EPV, all things to all people is just not possible.. but I do feel adding something about ownership/being behind wheel etc will help.. its all in the mind and I have read here or somewhere, people shop with there eyes.. these days everything is online, I shop with my eyes.. so I guess that it how it goes and probably only going to get moreso.. I think with @Arfur Dealy doing the videos and lesson we have all learned there.. video / great images / spot on description with highlighted options should capture 70-80% of what they are looking for... Time will only tell..
  10. Spot on Nick, thanks I get this now, cheers for taking the time to clarify.. Mucho Grassyarse and all that
  11. Are you saying you add options into the vehicle description and it picks these up, or is it in addition to the choices AT give you in the boxes.. ? Bit unclear. Ta
  12. Boys and their toys.. Turn your mother in law over one a wet and cold one that will Dave
  13. Can/should this information be moved into the secret bunker?
  14. I would love to know more on this AI algorithm crap full stop! Its in all walks of bloody business.. Utter crap in most instances.. I like to understand the tools I am using and use the right one for the job! Rather than spending time clutching at straws/stabbing (forgive the term pls) in the dark.. I read recently on US techy website, the problem with AI and algorithms is that they are all "written" by someone. You need to understand clearly what motivates the person writing it.. Their own opinions, life style and agenda will influence the algorithm produced, basically any two brains are not the same.... We all know from the press that fairness and honesty are usually the lowest on the list of the factors when web companies are found wanting.. Profit and manipulation/market dominance are usually list first in those same factors.. I think AT has got too smart for its own good right now and the algorithm is fcuked up hence more saying we get less inquiries.... If the car is right and priced right, billies will find it because its what they want.. So why cant AT deliver the billies and the other sales channels do?? Someone is doing something different, and it appears to be broken at AT right now...the recent results of moving off there are very positive reading... All a bit deep, but I do hate the grip these ffffing web companies now have on businesses.. controlling where you're advert appear/fake reviews etc I have no pity for the tosser in AT looking at reducing revenue from dealer packages
  15. There was me thinking we were all contributing from our phones whilst in the Algarve waiting for a tee time... What could go wrong? You buy online, get it delivered to the pet spanner/mot lads who just happen to be opposite the Tesco valet lads, advertise it with images from the auction house and arrange to meet the billy with cash in the arrivals hall at the airport.. What could possible go wrong.. Oh yeah, its hard to pass through security and customs these days with a decent wad of cash ... Fiat 500 ... I started to smirk right there.. NEXT
  16. After dark, drive by syringe (large) full of nitromorse.... of course there is the frozen sausage and hammer alternative
  17. Its likes politics isnt it? "welcome to their world" .. make the rules up as they go along and to suit... All rather unbelievable.... I'd guess the only recourse is you may be out of pocket seeking a bloody resolution.. the system is broken, either way the system and lawyers wins. Bloody shambles ... good luck with it all the same.
  18. Tosser Cops @Dave2302 I'm sure we all hear you there.. nowt better to do! Car theft doesnt interest them anymore... just a few piss easy tasks.... Check out this one from the plod Your nicked I would second going lawyered up if you have a speeding.. take one that doesnt like feds or magistrates if your can find the beast .. I spent around £700 too on bringing my man out to play.. once in the court house he insisted in going up second before the beak, spoke to usher and told them to sort it.. I was still trying to get my back passage in order when I heard this request.. He told me to look sorry and also explained we are getting in there before before their arses get warm on the chair.. I was well north of 100mph... six points and £200 fine, plus £450 for him being out for the day.. I would have been off the road without him and had a company car/travelling job! So likely out of work... One line he took was that I demonstrated Extra Ordinary ability not driving at 99mph or 101mph, but exactly 100mph.. "Something" your worships must agree, demostrates excellent control of the vehicle.. then it was the Plods turn, nil traffic on the motorway, early morning, warm fine clear day in June.. So your worships, the Plod have stated here he was presenting no risk to other road users ... I thought they were going to chuck the book... he basically outlined the sentencing guidelines plus a spot of mitigation.. We walked after around 25mins and me looking sorry the whole time... When we came out, I was told my brief was not going back to his offices that day.. he had got us tickets to the test cricket match nearby.. He knew I had a day off work and would not have a car "as he knew I would not be sure of the outcome" ... That was the remaining £50 of my bill.... he had brought a change of clothes in his bag and tapped me up for ales all day... all but retired now.. a class act..
  19. Think that is what we all want ~ just think, if they got their finger out on this one issue, they would increase profits due to reduced claims and a reduction in staff to manage complaints!! They have that much cash slopping about, this subject is in the CBA territory for major auction houses..
  20. I was listening to Talkradio and the presenter was commenting on a new car purchase he is making this year, he is letting an F Pace diesel go and was not convinced to go electric (mentioning a tesla to replace).. some shirley temple/tree hugging type on the phone rang into to say he must consider leccy in central London as the issue with charging was all sorted!! Probably a ruddy cyclist too.. I did think it was a bit odd, but then again I'm not in the SE often these days so wouldn't know a leccy charger from a knife collection point.. Totally stand corrected by @BHM as I'm sure half the tripe that comes over on the shows is media spin or self appointed expert hype... I'm heading toward opinions again, this will only lead to politics and those who know what is best for us... Where I'll surely lose it... In summary, no chargers on the streets of ole London town.. TTFN @Dave2302 great Clive Cussler book about cars with small nuclear reactors..
  21. I heard on a London based talk radio show last week, during a conversation about leccy vehicles/congestion charges etc, that quite a few streets now have multiple charging points, might be wrong but sure the suggestion was they were as regular as lamp posts in some areas.. I'd guess this was just inner city areas... I think all ministerial cars now are leccy, with the exception of a bomb proof one for the great leader @ No10
  22. I forgot to mention the staff only, tax free shopping centre under the EU parliament.. I'm sure the list goes on... Greedy political beggars.. well I never... Love Europe and the people .. just the self appointed ruling junta that needs overthrowing.. best get back on thread - radio has driven me nuts this afternoon with all the doom..
