Welcome Leekent. In a country that has a huge skill shortage, I think I would be looking to rinse the electrical contractors side of things dry if it were me. There is more money to be made doing a rewire on a 3-bed semi than there is in selling 5 cars. (Nett of course) sorry for the negative reply.

I told you it was spam.....
-
Come on... please? This is spam.... He blatantly works for a company that fills in forms for people.
-
What is your role at Holdcroft Group?
-
Because along with several other jobs, I guess there will come a day that the auctioneers may not have a job and could be done online using a computer.
-
I love the quick knocks... to be honest the auctioneers will always favour hall bids.
-
I think the guy your talking about is a kiwi.
-
He goes everywhere, all of the vendors want him.
-
He is a very in demand auctioneer... Mr Rev it up we call him. He achieves some of the best prices seemingly.

I was always told by my mentor, that at Blackbushe they are so big and poorly ran that they often have cars at the end of a section that are not in the catalogue and can be bought sensibly. As the numpties don't have an instant valuation to look at,

I would have said that news will add value in my eyes. Its like a comforter for customers that should their engine go pop Ford will sort it out. We had a 1.6 Kuga a while ago that popped a coolant hose/pipe and we ordered and fitted the new pipe sharpish, it wasnt till i read about this happening quite frequently in South Africa and America that i realised we could have got ford to pay for it.
-
Dont start that game.... all of a sudden you will own one that stands you far too much!
-
Hi EPV What are you looking at Blackbushe, ill watch online I promise i wont bid
-
More importantly, good dining facilities there.
-
Has a full mot history too. I wouldn’t be too bothered.
-
What kind of car is it?
-
Well then just turn around and bend over for him then! Get the car back off him and do some digging. He may not be entitled to a repair or a refund. At this point you will have the car and will see the mileage. You are allowed to reduce refund value for usage.
-
Selfy... I repeat, first port of call is to find out why the EML has returned. To all guys using third party workshops, it is vital to take all details for faults and keep notes, especially trouble codes. Manufacturers and warranty companies now want the far end of a fart before authorising any repairs, we should all do the exact same. Selfy, it is your duty to defend his claim, there is a middle ground. Between what he wants and what you offer, so make sure your first offer nearly insults him.
-
The first thing that needs to happen has to be a simple code read. It may be completely unrelated to the last repair and a fresh fault. If it’s a fresh fault pie them off. If it’s the same fault as last time, wedge the ECU up the mechanics arse and refund the customer less mileage, and check the car over for damage etc...

Your thoughts on Ford/Volvo Powershift Gearboxes ?
Stalker replied to Arfur Dealy's topic in General Dealer Chat
We had and Alfa Romeo with a Sillyspeed gearbox.... that took more than a year! -
Don’t do it, if they are genuine they can get a new pin quite quickly these days.
-
This is blatantly going to be some kind of advertising, I’m waiting for the OP to come back with the product!

Hi Grant I presume this has the OM651 Engine in it? These engines sound horrible when they are ok, however they do suffer from noisy timing chains at the rear of the engine which can be mis-diagnosed as flywheel rattle. I will repeat, they are a very agricultural sounding engine anyway. We also had a flywheel go noisy on one of these after 4 months of replacing, Euro covered it luckily.
