This is a Daily Mail story waiting to happen, the guy is a Director on "Teen Mom UK" haha "Sinister TV Director Exploits Vulnerable Teens He Meets For TV Show"
-
Facebook = Pants for actually moving metal but great for raising a public image, competitions, giveaways etc.. Look at Rev It Up for example.. customer updates, handovers "happy customers" how much they actually sell through FB i don't know but certainly helps put them in the public eye, though every giveaway there's calls of a fix in the comments.

Welcome to the mad house

Sooooo you ate your own words ??

24/7 We don't deal with full stop for the reasons above. Zuto we do quite a bit with as their process shows that the customer has applied for finance and then found our car in their stock search so there is no need for us to burn that bridge. It's a steady stream of pre approved customers that we "might" not of had without them, they also don't charge us either (something to so do with conversion) so we'd be daft to pinch those customers and lose 7/8 free deals a month.
-
Regardless who it was meant for a sales pitch is a sales pitch and offering new cars at 30% off and a potential partnership is one of them
-
Anyone else had the cheeky private message sales pitch yet ??
-
Have you checked with them ? make sure your still in their stock search ? We used to have a rep from them that poped round that we could check these things with, nice chap but i believe he is office based with them now so we don't have anyone else which is a shame.
-
Its YOUR client as it's your stock that is what has made that customer apply !! ... this is why i cant stand 24/7 ! I personally think 24/7 is a piss take as with their "stock search" being open to the general public and not secured, they get people to apply using your cars as bait and then charge you for the privilege of selling your own stock when it was your car that made them apply originally. There are other brokers that have a stock search but you have to apply to get acsess to it so you can kind of accept theses are actually organic customers and I don't mind paying for them but 24/7 is just Car Craft !! all your cars are on Car Crafts website so as above people see YOUR car and want to buy it so your car has generated the lead for 24/7 and they charge you for it... if you actually sit back and look at this its a joke !!!
-
If they are approved with 24/7 then they are an approvable customer so just bang it over to your broker and earn some coms rather than having to pay it.

I like to avoid the Mail as much as possible but must admit this tickled me... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6515723/Car-seller-tricks-rude-buyer-12-mile-wild-goose-chase.html

Cracking little cars when they run rite though, still a big audience for them so if you get hold of a strong one there certainly worth stocking. They ALL burn oil if they have the Peugeot engine in them its just seems that what they do and most savvy customer know this already and we advise people of this on hand over. Chains yes are not cheap BUT most cars need a chain at some point (100k), Civic's Clio's etc so we check before we take one in or pop in the advert when we list it (can replace chain for £££). Personally we are big fans of them

Stocking loans can make a struggling business look like a very successful one ... Look at Caralot for example !

The most memorable part ex you ever took?
Tadams replied to Nick M.K.'s topic in General Dealer Chat
All R53's were supercharged and all R56's and anything after were turbo charged (JCW or not). The bonnet scoop on anything after an R53 is purely for looks, Though you can get a Cooper S with a factory JCW body kit but not of the power upgrades to confuse things further anddddd you can get a Cooper S with the performance upgrades but not the body kit haha -
To the bidding hall.......

Why Autotrader competitors fail, my proposal for a new entrant
Tadams replied to C_manc's topic in General Dealer Chat
You need one thing to bring the dealers and that's a big customer base ! With these type of "start up business's" of which there has been quite a few on here for me they have all been approached the wrong way round. You come to ask dealers advice on what they want and that's all good and well but in reality what you need at this point is to build something that customers want. Bring the customers and the dealers will come not the other way round ! You have to think like a customer "why would i choose to look anywhere other than AT to find a car" you work that out and your away. You could get every dealer to sign up from the is Forum but if you don't have any customers is completely pointless. Do some proper paid market research for your customer base rather than tapping into forums for free and you may well find the answer. -
Accepting/providing finance pros and cons
Tadams replied to tradegirl's topic in General Dealer Chat
Actually you don't there are brokers that if they see the value in a relationship thy will let you use their licence. I don't think offering finance is essential however its certainly a nice string to the bow and a nice offering to be able to mention, There is still the usual stigma of the used car salesman working in cash only to try and hide something unfortunately i think being able to offer finance can make you look more respectable as a business (regardless if that is true or not). For us in was a trade off between how much time we wanted to spend on a deal vs the commission. The guys are more useful selling the cars than sat behind a computer filling out apps and getting proofs so we send everything to one broker who does all or finance, they speak with the customer, they get the proofs (where needed) and they complete the legal stuff and go through the signing process with the customer, all we need to do is generate an invoice. Admittedly the comms isn't the best but from the example we were given before we are only about £50 worse off but based on the time saved and how the saved time free's up more time to sell to other customer it's a hit we are more than happy to take. Comms is a direct payment in our account at the start of every month. -
We take 24/7 enquirers and send them to Zuto to broker and then they pay us a commission instead of us paying 24/7 not sure they've twigged just yet lol

WiFi enabled so you can put the pics through Light room on your mobile if you don't have creative cloud on your PC, can also do videos to if you want to branch out. (you can probably get it cheaper elsewhere if you look around)

as above, we use Motor Check.

Yep completely agree and we have done this with a couple (usually 24/7 in Zuto) haha We did a few Zuto customers into our individual lenders but we were told that if its picked up that a lot of customers are being sent to us and then they ending up canceling with Zuto and taking ours because we have placed them instead then we come off the stock search.. i kind of understand that they pay for the marketing to get the customer through their door so they can't just be giving them away to dealers to place. So we have to look at the bigger picture.. a few small wins now and that's it or regular customers going forward and we choose the latter...not to say a few don't slip through the net though
-
We get a response back in a matter of minutes most the time. You probably rite and can get more comms elsewhere but as above ease of process and having all our lenders in one place and access to be on their stock search is enough for us
-
They do all our finance and they have their own licence like i say we prop all our customers to them, sub prime deals we are yet to be offered a better commission package and with the prime stuff that falls out of our normal go to prime lender they are quite competitive (about £350) on a £8000 car. They also have us on their stock search so we get pre approved customers back from them too FOC. Certainly not saying they are great at everything but ease of process works for us with a decent lending panel (x18) we only have to send our customer there and they do the work.

Why offer finance "apart from Zuto" ?
