  1. Agree with others, they look terrible. Not enough natural light especially on the interior photos. Try instagram if you want filters.
  2. 8 so far with healthy margins in all but one. Buying has been easier, 7 this week. Last year, October November December were very busy for us and so far this year it's the same.
  3. New keeper slip can be used again, try a different digit from the first, the rest stay the same.
  4. Slightly off topic, but can anyone recommend a good battery charger for stop/start AGM batteries? Having a lot of issues with stop start not working lately and the batteries are extortionate.
  5. Also note Leeds clean air zone 2020, it will affect taxis and private hire vehicles (£12.50 a day) unless emission compliant.
  6. They demand that much up north, alot of taxi drivers are going Hybrid. We can't buy them, they seem to do crazy money.
  7. Common problem, it's the flux capacitor at fault.
  8. A few that come to mind Lexus GS for some reason thought it was diesel, i know i know, turned out to be petrol and £500 tax. Very low mileage, full Lexus history but rubbish bodywork. £800 spent on bodywork and it sold it one day and left £1800 profit. Bidded a grand on the wrong car, it was a Fiat Bravo! Never bought one before, sold in one week and made £800. Left a proxy bid on the wrong car, Kia Ceed automatic estate, made £900 on that one. Really weird how we struggle to make good profits on the ones we want but the mistakes end up leaving more.
  9. This. I had a similar issue, fixed the original fault 2 months into ownership, 6 months later the customer got back in touch to claim the same fault had occured after 6000 miles! I posted on the AT forum for advice and Nick here gave me the confidence to stand my ground and refuse to give in for a refund. Never heard from the customer again after that email. Thanks Nick!
  10. Customers that think they know everything.. Perfect example earlier today, a customer comes to see a car which is ex lease, high mileage but well maintained including a recent cambelt change less than 2 months ago by the main dealer. Looks around the bonnet and proclaims 'I was a mechanic for Rover, there is no way this car has seen a cambelt change!' How's that mr customer? 'well, there are no marks on the screws and the engine mount is undisturbed, everything looks original' I didn't argue, instead rang the dealer in question and they confirmed it had a cambelt in July this year and sent me the invoice through by email. Customer 'well those main dealers lie all the time!' At this point, I knew he was mentally disturbed and dropped him back off to the train station, no doubt he will leave a bad review saying I wasted his time (he travelled over 4 hours) That's enough for today.
  11. This doesn't sound good... Balance transfers are the way forward until they decide to charge a percentage on them too!
  12. So true! It's a quiet-ish month for us, after a brilliant August and summer in whole. I was thinking last week I've been lucky so far this year with only 2 warranty claims... And then I got hit with 3 in one day! Also struggling to buy anything these last 2 weeks, prices are on the up?
  13. Hate them units, always attracted thieves. I would always find a replacement for circa £250
  14. Been a good month to be fair, won't break any records but definitely busier than last August which was rubbish.
  15. Same here, worst month of the year so far which has been a fairly good year to be fair. There are signs of recovery this week so I hope it's a good end to the month for us all!
  16. It's funny how Brighouse is local to us but I find it expensive.. So I end up buying quite a few from Blackbushe.
  17. I've been told the same, only add cars that are taxed and being used by ourselves, the rest are on trade plates and they don't need to go on the MID.
  18. Hi EPV I've sold a few Clio estates, they are slightly slow in terms of enquiries but never taken more than 60 days to sell. I've sold a 2012 Dynamique estate 1.2 for £4495 recently with 35k, so I would see yours at £4795-4995 to generate any interest.

Well I have to say after 3 weeks of dead enquiries, one of them actually came through! He said the difficulty was finding garage name and contact details but he managed to zoom in on one of the photos and saw the number in the background, gave me a call 8am and car was sold by 10am. Can't complain for a free package.

Absolute joke enquiries so far, an enquiry a day but never any replies. The one I did manage to catch didn't even know what my car was or when he had enquired about it. Sums it all up really.
  21. Jan/Feb/March - brilliant April - average May - very good June - steady so far. I've always found summer to be the slowest season for me. Hoping to change the trend this year!
  22. I've only just got onto their site on a free package - instant results! Unfortunately they're only enquiries and so far only two have responded. One wanted retail money for his part ex and the other arranged a test drive but never turned up. It's only been a week so will update.
  23. Most definitely. I get looked after by BCA, manheim don't want to know when I've had issues. Their surecheck is useless to me.
  24. So it looks like it's down to the sensor/column as the computer won't calibrate the sensor. Time is an issue so I think I'll just get in touch with these guys and get a recon organised. I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks guys
  25. Thanks for the replies guys, it's going in today to re calibrate the sensor so let's see what happens. I see western power steering do recon columns, any experience with these guys? Want to be prepared just in case it comes down to the column. I will check the battery tradex, I have had electric power steering issues before on these cars due to a weak battery. Thanks
