You have absolutely made my day dickdv. I personally designed these booklets ten years ago (obviously there has been some updates along the way) and never imagined a day when I would see them sold as a second hand item on eBay – fair play to you. I am sorry they didn’t work out for you, we know hundreds of dealers who have saved thousands of pounds using them. If you have trouble selling them, please get in touch as we would be happy to consider taking them in as a PX against any of our stationery or legal services.

As a ex Jag used car manager I would say the chances are it was put through the workshop and the amount of work to put it through as approved just wouldn’t have been profitable to get the work done. An independent might not have to get as much of it fixed and if they did would be a fraction of the cost.

Good god! If I look at the sales exec jobs, technicians and other roles the salaries have stood still for 20 years. GM/DP salaries have risen, although I'm sure they are coming down given the times we live in? Now call me old fashioned, but if you sell Ford's, you drive a Ford?

Very nice Guy who was a part time delivery guy for a car parts motor factors near us was a victim two days ago , The whole place went down with Covid after one driver tested positive , 23 people 19 tested positive . So they isolate as per the law as they should , Poor Phil has four days at home turns worse overnight , dead two days later in hospital . Fit bloke , 59 yrs old but ran or walked 10 miles every day with his two dogs . Obviously been caught from someone bringing it into the building , who knows who but hes gone now . Made me think when we come out of lock down , this virus wont be gone will it , Im still going to keep people at 2 meteres , out the office , on site but out the office, no family running round either just one person to see the car , I know it can be done but just think that after lock down has done its even more important to keep ourselves SAFE . More important than now really . If Phil can die I'll say one thing ,any one of us could be next dealing with strangers .

There might be method in their madness.Bumped into a top Ford sales guy last year who has stayed with the same dealership for many years.because he has a massive repeat customer base.He said that when Arnold Clarke took over they have a deal where ‘ sales executives ‘ as they are now called could lease a new Merc for a low rate which was proving very popular and reduced staff turnover. It appears that the mentality of your average millennial ‘sales executive’ ( with pointy toed shoes no doubt ) would prefer to go home in a new Merc than earn a big lump of commission.

Fortunately for us all, for every bent MoT tester out there, there are 9 other innocent ones who can't sleep at night because they are getting the squeeze off of VOSA and fear for their livelihoods on some weird technicality.
