Who knows? The DSRs are like the Lockdown rules aren’t they - open to interpretation. I’d of thought a distance sale is simply someone who pays from afar & has it delivered but that’d be too simple. Do everything by phone & just tell them to visit when they’re cashed-up & ready to deal. Whether or not they’re travelling essentially is up to them, not me. The f***ing supermarkets are packed to the gunwhales with Joe Public bouncing into each other so I won’t be sweating it out over the regulations about a couple of punters per week visiting to me to view in the open air stood metres away from me. I guess there must be loads making a success of click & collect sales, probably with newish cars, but on my ‘oldies but goldies’ I have no intention of finding out.

People can still go to work, if they can't do thoer job from home etc, so from where I'm sitting has anything really changed bar not meeting anyone else from another house hold? F*cked if I know now, it's more confusing than a VAG buyer.

Can you honestly blame them after the pisspoor weak & indecisive governance we’ve all received? 9 months of clutching at straws but politically too frightened to take a strong line. Only a couple of days ago the Tiers were adjusted again then just half an hour ago we were told it’s lockdown time again, which I assume(?) renders the Tiers obsolete. It’s just a regular stream of mixed messages. Apart from seeing tonight’s prime minister’s briefing I’m afraid I’ve stopped taking much notice.

Sorry but that is incorrect regarding servicing as some manufacturers still don't keep cross dealer records. A large percentage of leasing is fleets of under 5 vehicles and will not have maintenance agreements and there is no need to report servicing (some just write their own). Add this to the number of people who take a lease or PCP on 8k per annum and don’t think there’s anything wrong with John from Facebook adjusting the miles every year to keep payments down. The sad thing is clocking is very common across lots of types of vehicle contract, I have known hire companies vehicles be adjusted on long term contracts to avoid going over monthly mileage limits as well as privately owned and leased vehicles The only way to stamp it out would be to make mileage adjustment illegal and have large fines for anyone involved.

its like everything else if traders all stuck together and boycotted the show then the business model would have to change or fold unfortunately whilst your fellow traders are agreeing to boycott you will find them gleefully in the background bidding thinking ha one less bidder against me so the answer is as always plough your own field and feck the others because its the only way TV would agree but he threw in the towel in my opinion as theres only so much muck a back furrow can shift
