1 pointOh ok I see what you mean. Yeah some people selling their non-runners, only basically factoring in the repair. For example BMWs with engines gone, literally for only £1500-2000 below normal retail. Why would anyone buy a car and go into the trouble of rebuilding an engine, when it'll cost them the exact same money to just buy a normal one?

1 pointWish I had the money for properties! 6 years in. Years 1-3 were the golden age, years 3-6...not so great, but have to plan, work, and figure it out. Have to keep swimming at this point.

1 pointI can’t believe the DVSA have not thought to invalidate MOTs following insurance loss. You’d think it was common sense. Always always do a new Mot on a write off car to confirm that repairs have been carried out to a high enough standard and that the car is STILL roadworthy. There is no point to save the £30odd test fee.

1 pointLike the 2016 Ford Kuga Titanium I bought in p/x early June for £9200 (under Cap Below at the time) and watched similar cars go through the block for 10500-11500. Now my £9200 are just shy of Cap Clean and at £12K I've only had a couple of calls.

1 pointthis is why they like small engine cars though so they dont go fast and therefore they think its safer most people still dont understand black boxes either until you explain the merits but then they start putting up objections like little arthur is a lovely driver,yer............. then you see him friday night in the maccy dee car park stuffing his face and do..nuting.....
