Finance companies aren't stupid. I used to deal with these scenarios on a daily basis back in my previous life. They will work out straight away that you are a dealer and then you have no chance. My advice is firstly, do right by your buyer. Its not his/her fault and they shouldn't be made to suffer. Either offer to buy the car back or negotiate with the finco. They don't really want it back, they would rather have cash, so try and negotiate ( you're a car dealer, you should be good at that !) get the best deal you can and take it on the chin. Lesson learnt, Hpi et all are there for a reason. Always check the car to protect yourself. if you check and the finance isn't registered, but subsequently comes to light, then the data provider will cover you. You might grumble at paying a few quid per car to check em, but if you lose £10k because of 1 deal, thats a lot of HPI checks !!

EDIT - TYPOS Off the wall bids are normal and have been around for as long as I was going to the halls with my father many many moons ago. Legal No, but it is normal practice. There's no action you can take in that respect and I wouldn't want to bring that up and probably risk an account closure by doing so. Wait for them to contact you about it and stress to them how adamant you are about you cancelling the proxy bid and there must have been an error on their system. That's the best way you can go and hopefully they see sense and come around that it was a mistake, everyone makes a mistake, so they may well take an exception towards you and let you off. If you get pi$$ed and argumentative, think of a decent way to sell your new XFR

Had enough hearing a lot of you guys moan about the messers on Ebay. Lets turn it into some fun... Copy the layout as it makes it easier to read. You don't have to put the vehicle, but I just thought it gives a better perspective of the Ebayer. Vehice: Merc Convertible E350 50kmiles 2010 @ £13500 Ebayer: £10000? Me: £15000? Nice 1!!! Glad to hear some bargains still floating. Hahaha done the similar thing last week with Bedford. 2009 Mini Cooper S Convertible 82k... £2750, expecting a rattly pile of BUT I think I must have just caught it as we drove it back (100mile journey) and so far so good. 1 thing is the roof underlining is missing... I mean WTF, who wants that?

Always keep an eye on whats going on online and been looking out for a C-max for member of the family, unsurprisingly all going way over book, well, the decent stuff is. but while logged in, noticed a 2008 Clubman Cooper, 1 owner, 60k, pepper pack, just serviced and years ticket. Stalled at £2450 against book of £3500. Put in a cheeky £2500 against a "not sold"... wasn't expecting anything of it...... next thing I know I've bought it.... So now the worry, yup, its a grade 4 and looks grubby, but straight, no lights.. so why the hell did this go so cheap when everything else is going above book, they are fairly good news normally... I must stop impulse buying. Just got to wait till it turns up smoking and limping into the car park, knocking like a tractor....

I use them all the time - I get cashback and rewards on them. Then I simply pay off in full at the end of each month and go again - free 4-6 weeks stock funding?

Not quite sure I get how you can compare the packages... 3 tiers... Standard | Advanced | Premium Cost | + 23% | +65% I've worked that on the average when I was trying to get AT to work for us. We tinkered packages left right and center. Advertising 90% of stock, then down to 50% of stock, just couldn't get a decent return from the money spent. Always ended up us giving AT 60% of the profits and us getting 40% gross. Just not feasible. ALSO:- You'll find that when you cancel they'll upgrade you to Advanced to show it works. It gives you better advert placements so your stats start getting better.

Hi AutoJacob I am struggling to understand. You lie to the finance company and show them a forged receipt. So the finance company goes back to the hirer and who tells them he sold it to the trade who would settle it off. They then establish that you are infact a trader and you have retailed it.Would it not be right to say,you are then in ‘deep shit’.

....I hope their servicing is better than their descriptions of their p/xs on DA.
