Volvo update FIXED!!! Many thanks to Arfur Dealy. Contacted the people (via the link you sent me) by telephone. A really helpful guy answered, asked for registration number of Volvo, so he could work out which engine it had, told him the various codes it was throwing up. Sounds like it needs a new Actuator Position Sensor he says, this is the ebay number, we keep them on the shelf £40 inc VAT and delivery. Arrived this morning, fitted, 20 mile road test, drives like new. HAPPY DAYS. That's what is so brilliant about this forum, helping each other out with advice and our years of combined experience!!! I owe you a pint or 3 Mr Dealy !!!

I went for the Landbeasts one in the end. Collected it yesterday, I can honestly say, what a pleasure it was dealing with them and the car is 'Split Mint' I had the biggest grin on my face driving it back up from London. If I could add a Picture here I would. You should ask for a referral fee!

Excuse me,one of your neighbours operates a business repairing and selling accident damaged performance cars from his front garden and keeps a low profile ! Unbelievable, what would Margot and Gerrie do about that !

I have a Polish guy on the corner of my road who repairs accident damaged german performance stuff too. Does it all in his front garden. He has three or four up for sale, but keeps a low profile and its all taxed and mot'd. He seems to have a regular and loyal Polish customer base too? I have no idea where he advertises them and nothing hangs around for long

There is a chance that even if you give him a refund that you may be stuck with the car until Feb anyway ? £500 is a fairly healthy deposit so i would be inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt and wait. If he is a no show in Feb then you keep all of the deposit and re advertise it.
