Holmfirth Cars 12 Posted February 5, 2020 Hi just bought a mo-tab car, V5 says white, its Gold Met, how long does it take for DVLA to change the colour on the V5 / Log book and send you a new one ??? Thanks,
David Horgan 564 Posted February 5, 2020 Just watch they don't log it as a Colour change vehicle which comes up on HPI /Experian checks if you go that route .

Was going to suggest it could perhaps make more of an issue of it by changing it. A recorded colour change would set alarm bells ringing for some people. I've had a few over the years where I wouldn't agree with the colour on the v5, but just dismissed it to the customer as "typical dvla". Nobody ever seems that bothered. David Ayers 171 Posted February 5, 2020 Had 4 doors listed as 5 doors Had the model wrong. LX instead of GLX Vauxhall Frontera with a 200cc engine. Best one was a Cavalier. Under fuel it said steam

Thanks, What kind of car is it? Gold is not a recognized colour from memory, it might be classed as silver... which is also wrong so might be best to just leave it? Merlot 3 Posted February 5, 2020 Had a TTS in gold/beige and the V5 said silver. The Audi paint colour was called Sahara Silver. Check the manufacturers colour name. Think some VAG Cars are white but listed as silver also.
BHM 994 Posted February 6, 2020 Just had a gold Astra & the V5 said ‘Gold’.
Contracts 68 Posted February 6, 2020 Is it a Peugeot by any chance?, they have a gold colour called “golden white” that shows on the V5 as white. Once you change the colour with DVLA it flags on the HPI, we have to do it with wrapped vans but it seems to put buyers off.
