New to motor trade

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

i am just starting out and want to become successful in trading. I value morality and not handing over a car with many faults to people however having said this, I am starting with old cars from ebay, fix and resell for small profit yo make my way up.

no my main concern is if you sell as trade, consumer has considerable right. If you buy a 2006 car with 100k miles then you can expect things to go wrong. As long as i sell the car in good condition and do make people aware it is decent car however it may develop problems at anytime, how do i do that legally?

for instance i see cars advertised by traders for 1k or even £600 so you can bet he has it for free or £100 or so and has many problems. If you buy it you are taking responsibility for the issues and can’t expect it to last long.

how do they stay legal?

finally with trade plates, can you drive a car that doesn’t have mot?

Thanks

Trade plates are for road tax Not mot you can only drive a car with no mot to a pre arranged mot test centre and back to a place of repair . Then back to pre arranged retest . It's a fine for no mot
