Fil 0 Posted November 20, 2018 Never use HANDLER PROTECT vehicle warranty. Their warranty agreement is designed to never pay you the repair expenses. For any fault, they'll find a reason to decline your clime. I climbed 4 times the repair expenses and they all 4 times refused to pay. This is the worst car warranty service. AAM90 22 Posted November 20, 2018 These guys have phoned me loads of times. Policies are very cheap but as I guessed they are clearly not worth the paper they are written on

Blenheim Car Sales 111 Posted November 20, 2018 I use them exclusively, I have found them to fair and reasonable, Also on occasion flexible when pushed by me to cover component parts in grey areas for cover, They are cheap but i would not say cheapest

Dealer 54 Posted November 20, 2018 I've had times when the "enquiry from Autotrader" call whisper kicks in on answering the phone only for it to be "Connor O'Reilly" from handler protect on the other end. Frustrating to say the least.
MrV 66 Posted November 20, 2018 I use Handler and have yet to claim, this is quite worrying to say the least! I do get the weekly phone call "it's Patrick from handler protect, how's everything going?"
Blenheim Car Sales 111 Posted November 21, 2018 Handler protect paid out £1100 for me after just 3 days of a car being on the road ( Swirl flaps on a VW Inlet manifold ) not picked up on PDI as it was not visible to test, Paid out straight away happy they did he could have argued it was a fault at time of purchase

Mark101 536 Posted November 21, 2018 (edited) Work out: 1) How much have 3rd party warranties cost you to place over the past 6 months - A 2) How much you have had to pay for items not covered - B 3) How much you have paid to "top up" partially accepted claims - C 4) Total value of honoured claims for same period - D Now calculate (A+B+C) - D If you have a positive value - self warrant Edited November 21, 2018 by Mark101

Pete D 0 Posted November 29, 2019 I recently bought a decent car for 17K from a car dealer in the West Midlands. The vehicle carried with it a warranty frpom a company called Handler Protect. Have had the car for 2 months and have a bill for just short of £1000 to replace some Nox Sensors and brake pads. Happy with the dealer he has been great and love the car, but Handler Protect, WHAT A JOKE 3 weeks of arguing, I will just pay it but warn all car dealers, if you use handler protect O wioll never buy from you, and I will be doing all I can to ensure that non of my friends do either. Pete Dougherty Pete! Well, this kind of controversy makes a change from being smacked out your face in The Sun don’t it? Im sure The Libertines royalties are still rolling in so you’ll be alright but will heed your warning.
RR PR Management 0 Posted January 30, 2020 Just reading reviews for Handler Protect as I am currently building a case file on behalf of my client - a car dealership where warranties are being rejected with no valid reason and costing my client thousand of pounds. Clearly there are a Mickey Mouse Company where they take customer’s money with no intention their cars. Please can you contact me with any of your stories as this will help shut these Rogue Traders down.
Grantlfc81 88 Posted January 30, 2020 I have put quite a lot of warranties through handler, but we have come away from them now. Useless company. We have had payouts however but they are shite

I have an issue with my swirl flaps, and am hoping Handler will pay out for mine too!
csm 0 Posted June 27, 2021 (edited) Found they would not even cover items clearly listed as covered. I had the gold cover with Handler Protect (actually with added extras also). Couple of months in the solenoid valve unit failed in the auto trans- verified by 2 independant specialists, but Handler refused saying the car manufactures call it something else & thats not listed as covered (when the car manufactures part name is googled it clearly says auto trans solenoid valve unit which is clearly listed in their items covered-for goodness sake it can not be anything else-same in all auto trans boxes & why its obvious its in their items covered). Oh just a heads up- Handler have been clever enough to not be registered/accredited so that ombudsman etc have no recourse with them, but guys beware because ombudsman's office are saying persue the car dealers, no matter what warranty was sold dealers are responsible for major faults up to 6 months after sale, Handler will potentially leave us all in a hole which could be very expensive to get out of. Its laughable if it was not so serious, its like them saying "we cover warranty on cars, but wait you have(for example) a mini, a mini does'nt show/is not listed in our items covered, sorry claim refused". NB! RR PR Management-(there are trust pilot & facebook reviews of Handler too)- how did you get on? The Trust Pilot reviews btw are clouded by mixing dealer and car buyer reviews, looks like the car buyers may be 90% bad reviews with buyers saying they would not use Handler again or a dealer that uses them.
