Ford Focus ST Dash query

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I bought this last week and whilst I spotted the damage I'm still at a loss how to fix/mask/hide it, it looks like someone has fixed something to it and then made a right arse of getting it off, the top of the dash is available from the breakers but its a big job to fit (radio is now back in)

Looks like super glue? Super glue remover without damaging the plastic won’t be easy?

Angle grinder, filler, simonize black, job done :) chizzle and hammer and a no dope smoking sticker :)

Serious answer.... Ebay, buy and old school dash mounted phone holder to cover it up......

Why not try and find a 'gadget' that will stick over it. It probably had something there to hold some tech/phone/games console thing. Failing that, some stick on faux carbon fibre?

It is an ST after all:D

Scrape as much off as you can, key it up, mask the area (big area) and buy some wrinkle paint and blend it out.

Will be 100 times better than that and will barely be noticeable/take your eye away from it.

Had similar on a Fiesta ST.

We filed off as much of the hard gunk as possible, sanded the area flat and then stuck some carbon effect wrap over it. Looked perfect on a twatty ST

We've used Goo Gone in the past and it works OK and then finished with a bit of texture paint and make a "feature" out of the radio surround area. I think anything like a phone holder to go over it will have to be HUGE to cover it.

Auto data has 5 hours down to change the top of the dash, is that not a huge over estimate
