Never been this dead before

Hi

Does anyone retail vans or commercial vehicles had a van this week that sold within the day and had a pick up 4/5 weeks ago that was the same. Thinking this may be the niche that I need in my area

Thanks

Been quiet here so have been scrolling through Facebook to see if there are any 'wanted' posts for any of the types of cars we have in stock.

Maybe it's quiet because people are on a tight budget

She was offered a Mercedes A Class - asked what was wrong with it and if it had an MOT! What do people expect for their money these days!

Sorry, I know times are hard but I have absolutely no sympathy with the sort of greedy chancing twat who expects a runner for £50. The scrapman will give more, he’ll also collect it and you can guarantee he won’t be back with a warranty claim.

We specialise in commercials and are based in Essex. We have been very quiet, what was the van and details? The only things we have had interest on are the bargains

All four tyres have this problem. I noticed O/S rear bearing had some roughness when spun. The noise is defo from the front O/S? I'm chasing ghosts

Noise starts about 25mph fades away into geneal road noise after 30mph ish. 'Loading up' the bearing doesn't really affect the noise, but I'd say O/S is noisier slightly.

Drove it again yesterday, sounds like front O/S, but the only issue I could find is the rear O/S bearing which is picking up a bit when spun. Generally, when driving the back of the car is silent.

Thanks for the help:)

Hi Met

The Ford Focus has something called a driveshaft support bearing. Its on the OSF dirveshaft and is bolted to the cylinder block. It can be bought aftermarket from most Parts shops. Eurowrongparts keep them in stock.

We see quite a few wrong diagnosed bearings and gearboxes with this fault.

Quite easy to check if you can get the car in the air.

In my neck of the woods they are hugely popular with a 'certain' type of guy (I know I shouldn't stereotype). They have to be three door though. I can't buy them in anywhere near decent nick, they are always worn out, dent on every panel and broken interiors from amateur HiFi installs.

Mine was a 2008 SXI 3 door in dog dick red 43k miles and clean as a whistle, sold for £2500. Advertised everyday day since March, one viewing back in the summer.

Yep, people have been paying far too much and plenty of it is shite too. One thing’s for sure, at the lower end of the market these chancers won’t be prepping their cars to a safe standard.

I've noticed a few 'proper' local forecourts with bangers at inflated prices. '02 Astra £1395 come on
