  1. To get the best results, wait until the sun goes down and you then you get a real deep shine in the paintwork
  2. That the VXR on DA? Just relaised this thing is a LE model. Might be a big margin in it, happy days
  3. I've just taken in a RR Sport Autobiobgraphy in White. Looks like a fridge for sure! Let's see how it sells!
  4. I have just signed up for eBay pro. It does generate a lot of leads and is far cheaper than an Auto Trader package. We'll see how it goes.
  5. We deal in two very specific makes and models. Two manufactures with a total of three derivatives. It's something that goes a long way with customers seeking a specific vehicle. Our cars are £15k-£60k
  6. I too was wondering if retained plates can be applied to cars that have just been signed over to a new owner. My thought is no, as you need a new doc number for the new keeper which won't arrive until a few days after.
  7. As a garage, make all your service customers aware that you buy cars. As they know and trust you, they will hopefully be willing to let their car go, in a hassle free sale to you. Should be a win win for you, as you know the car's history and don't need to go out and source them.
  8. Thanks for this. I thought I had read this article but obviously not closely enough.
  9. Great result and great to read everyone's input on this, it's been good to soak it up.
  10. I've not used the AT PX feature but I always say that every customer is an education. I've sold cars from Instagram and Facebook posts ! Then other times, you can get 3 calls from the same guy, an appointment and then nothing !
  11. We had one arrive here. It had a Spanish address on the bottom so I threw it in the bin!
  12. Hi All I have read up on warranties and still cannot find where it clearly states that a used car dealer must provide a 6 month warranty. We give out a 3 month warranty as standard and offer to upsell to 6 month comprehensive or 12 month at additional cost to the buyer. I even visited a site recently, where I entered that I had bought a car from a trader 11 months ago and it still informed me that I was covered by consumer rights!! https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/buying-or-repairing-a-car/problems-with-a-used-car/ Best regards
  13. I don't believe it's vital, they often show a different reg on them in any case...
  14. Same. Sometimes even the mighty fall the hardest . Wasn't aware of Caralot until yesterday when someones FB feed brought them to my attention with a mug shot of a pair of men,
  15. I saw some of that going on also.
  16. A good professional detailer will be able to steam the roof etc and get rid of the smell.
  17. We do this a lot. 7 flights to Scotland and two to the IOM this year so far. Am I the only one never to buy from auction? We source all our cars from public sellers. A lot of the time they approach us. Perhaps because we are niche...
  18. 2007 330D M sport Coupe Stock is mainly Nissan GTR's, BMW M cars etc . People always always ask why I don't drive one of those everyday but I feel better in my oil burner!
  19. I should have offered you £20 to send me the file
  20. I've just looked at that site and watched their video. Looks like a very useful tool. Currently we 'hand over' everything to the accountants but I'm inclined to get a better grip on things and this looks like just the thing.
  21. You're a top man Umesh. I've just been looking at your website. For our 'home' videos we use one of these http://www.fastforwardtime.co.uk/lanparte-3-axis-ready-to-run-brushless-gimbal-for-smartphone-gopro-with-carry-case?language=en&currency=GBP&gclid=CjwKEAjw7ZHABRCTr_DV4_ejvgQSJACr-YcwmlY4mq6vavocmmI5j6zdL5KzQTaEdvsO8R8xoSee6hoChq_w_wcB
  22. Would you please enlighten me Umesh. How do you capture those 360 photos?
  23. If you don't use Autotrader, what platform do you use?
