I assume you have selected an accountant i would go spend an hour with them and give them all your pay slips p60 ect they will need this to complete your sa302 for this years sales anyway and seek there advise, whilst asking on a public forum is often handy for someone to give you a plan ahead without knowing all the in and outs of your situation is almost impossible.
There is also a guide you can download from this forum which covers most of these questions.
Looking at your plan to scale up to 4-5 cars a week thats a lot of work you will no doubt need to employ staff 2 if not more people and there in lays your next hurdle.

When you say you have "registered as a sole trader" registered with who ? if your going to get molested by the tax man i am wondering how you missed the vat man, I would read up on the vat rules make sure you dont fall fowl of them.

Also, AKA aren't VAT registered, but are LTD, have a website up and running and stock cars up to £10k. Not required to be VAT registered?? After 2 years? I was VAT registered within 12 months starting with a pot of £7k.
Lol you have to love the power of the internet.

as with anything bca there a law to themselves.

Just run a previous two quarters and all the answers you need will be in there, it is almost impossible for anyone to answer the question with specific info only you have that said I would bet Mrc will be proved correct.

As long as he has his pin number and id can’t see what difference holding on an extra day is going to make

Caveat Emptor, as they say, to be fair as already mentioned how do you know its been in an accident it might just had paint flaking bumpers ect, also depending on the vehicle age mileage ect its hard to comment on the faults claim, we get third party garages claim something as a fault when it is clearly just showing signs of wear and tear.

Must be a different part of the world been through pages and pages and not found a single thing i would have even attempted to buy.

I am surprised there taking such a hard line with you considering how much business you give them, i have been the opposite end of the scale, today thought i bought two via the app but the bid was in the hall not on line.

Topaz is a economical, easy to use and doesn't leave white marks if you happen to catch black trim
You must have some cracking skills to be able to finish down with fastcut that stuff is hardcore.

I would have grabbed the guys number see if he does any weekend private work for when your stuck again, that simple fault could have cost you a sale.

So do one panel at a time?
I always found a damp cloth makes it streaky when applying i went back to a normal application pad.
Maybe just me rebelling against instructions

It’s a great product, easy to apply, easy to remove, and one pass of the car is good enough - unless your selling top end stuff and need perfection. It’s quite expensive, but you don’t need much per car.
We tend to use S30 as an anti hologram final step as it doesnt have much grunt to do much else, S17 we tend to use as a one step polish, its hard core and takes some practice but you can get it to finish down well after used for a while.
Its a dark art this polishing stuff for sure.

Mirror image is a nightmare when it sits for periods of time the oils split and it just gets glumpy, old product for sure
Polish is a minefield more than buying cars, depends on what you want hand or machine how bad the paint is the list goes on and on.
Valetpro is one of our favs at the moment there interior shampoo is amazing stuff which we go through a lot of so handy to order other products at the same time saves on postage yes i am tight.

I disagree the 996 was a solid engine if it’s been looked after it will outlast all the other German rubbish, the 997 is when you needed a big bank balance in Maintance.

What noa is saying it doesnt make any difference who its registered to only who has legal tittle to the car.

plus to sell 20 you would a steady source of stock in flow no way you could source them all from ebay so off to auctions it would be and then your swimming with sharks and there just the auction houses, £1500 value cars you can add £250-400 fees and delivery doesnt leave a lot for your £300 -500 margin.
It sounds as if we are all a grumpy bunch of gits, which you would be right but i am just trying to highlight some of the issues You will come across you havent even started to think about yet.
As tv mentioned if you can run your job and maybe do the odd one here and there to build up some extra income, that has got to have an appeal.
Your opening comment we all started somewhere was true, but for most of us it was days of hardly no internet no cra rules one or two local suppliers for cars with an add in the evening post every thursday to sell stock, things are a lot harder these days.
