  1. Don't suppose you recall what the rates are roughly?
  2. After reading the prep cost post, just wondering what you non in-house folks would pay for the following: 2014 VW Golf 2.0 TDI Timing belt + water pump, 4 new shocks, disks/pads all round, oil, air filter, oil filter and MOT.
  3. Oh boy, I'm paying way too much apart from the wheels
  4. Best month by a long way in my short history; 17 sold out of 19 advertised plus a personal best margin. Main problem for me now is I'm sat on capital but can't find the right stuff.
  5. Evening All I registered with BCA earlier this year, got a silver card, but never went any further and I've lost the login details they gave me. I'm going to show my face a Blackbushe tomorrow as my usual sources are dead, but I'm not expecting any bargains. Couple of things I wondered if you could help me with: How many lanes are there at Blackbushe? Any ideas what the silver card fees are on the 5-10k stuff? Any advice would be great. Cheers 15
  6. I'm not great at research, fella, clearly you're not either - otherwise you wouldn't have posted, right?
  7. I'm currently in the market for something like this. How would I know if it's a clone?
  8. Yes, they want £75 per completed deal
  9. Interesting - thanks for that
  10. I’ve just done this with a grotty Kuga. Shampooed/wet-vacuumed twice, then ran 2 x 2hr cartridges through on different days. Got them from my AutoSmart Guy, they’ve got a lovely medicinal/pharmaceutical type smell. Works well
  11. If a customer is pre-approved and frothing at the mouth for car I have with a tidy margin, I’m not going to turn them away tbh. As a new dealer at the beginning of FCA approval, I welcome all deals that make money. News to me, have I missed something?
  12. Just received this, any thoughts? My initial thoughts are they’re having a laugh, but I guess I could just stick an admin fee on the deal to counter it. I’ve sold 4 cars through Zuto so far, all 4 have been messy/delayed.
  13. October has been kind to me so far; 7 sold and 3 sure-fire sellers due out of prep within the next few days. Had a couple lumpy ones too, which is pleasing. I've not bought anything from BCA, Manheim or Aston Barclay for weeks and after reading through recent posts on here, I can't even be bothered to look. Had some bread-and-butter stuff hanging about (prepped to high standard with tons of decent pics, walk around video with right miles etc) so decided to ditch it (all at a small loss) and put the capital to work again. Sweet FA from Motors, AT is still providing the deals for me right now. Still dithering about CG. Part exchange enquiries and phone calls very thin on the ground compared to previous months.
  14. Afternoon All Currently have contracts with Auto Trader and Motors. Little success with Motors but AT works well. Car Gurus are offering me a 15 car package for £180pm. Some feedback would be helpful before I commit. Cheers
  15. Watching the prices at AB, BCA and Manheim this week, I reckon I ought to send some of mine there!
  16. Incredibly quiet, I have some nice motors not much over CC and I've not even had a part exchange enquiry, yet everything at auction half about is fetching daft money.
  17. Afternoon All Bid a couple hundred over CC on a couple of motors online with Manheim this morning, both 'sold' for stupid money, not far shy off retail. Just looking through their online bid weekender event and both cars are listed with BIN prices several hundred over CC but less than what they supposedly sold for this morning. Is this common? Cheers
  18. The auction houses have hit their target; they've got enough Eastern Europeans/FB chancers/private punters buying stuff close to retail and "dealers" that don't even complete a PDI before advertising buying stuff, heck, they're even charging an extra £40 for buying them remotely LOL............. the game is over The only question I have is, why hasn't CAP adjusted? CAP book prices are painting a very different picture to what we're seeing these days
  19. Obviously I'm not gonna post that publicly - PM me, introduce yourself and I'll gladly send you my URL fella Hahaha, exactly. Usually their bundle of GBP notes are wrapped in ROI bank receipts too. You know you're never gonna hear from them again, a pleasure to deal with compared to Karen, age 40 on 12k a year, tax credits, housing benefit and will come back in 5 months with issues, no stranger to leaving devastating online feedback
  20. In the current climate, I'd advise you to stay away unless you have loadsa money. Trying to get CAP retail for most stuff is like pulling teeth and trying to get desirable stuff off the block for CC is is practically impossible. Unless you're really tuned in to your local market and know what you're doing, you're gonna lose a shot load of money
  21. Thank you for the replies - confirms exactly what I've been thinking. May I ask your approximate locations FWIW? Cheers
  22. Yes sure, realised that, but they've only phoned for the cheap, white German diesels - the 'trader' from Dublin that I've been chatting with this afternoon has said his punters do not care about miles or history - they just want white and cheap! :-)
