It's only £28 but it'll go to the last owner... And I don't want to add another owner as the car depreciates it . I might have to get a fast track duplicate

Not by much if you explain to the customer I've had it in the past

  2. I guess bca could argue they sent it to the right address and parcel force delivered it to the wrong one

Ive had letter for neighbours before and always posted them through or if i didn't know the address just posted it back in the box  and neighbours have had mine binning someone else mail why would u

So you recommend me to put some videos on then. From what ive seen many people do the outside of the vehicle make a cut then do the interior. Are videos available on autotrader PAYG.

No I don't think they are .if no video certainly plenty good photos from all angles interior and exterior

    Years ago they were tight!

It was a few years ago now to be fair .with the discovery .ask one of the local auctions workers to run it though Mark they will have the value system for vans and be able to give you the figures.. hopefully should get you sorted

But dont they look at autotrader private seller price for a privately owned vehicle in any case?

I would think they would consider the cost it would be for a like for like replacement

I've only every experienced it once with a discovery and argued it would cost x amount to replace was privately owned

also never expect the first offer they ended up paying about £800 more on the second offer for the discovery .

I'm glad to hear it. And yeah as long as stock is moving, everything else is easier to deal with.

You have a good memory! To be fair it was only the one possible scammer.

The Golf turned out ok but we're having an issue with the reg and need to wait for a V5. Though I did have a dream last night that at such low mileage, the car had sustained damage from not being driven much haha.

The C Class...waiting on a viewing today. Irish guy and they're easy customers, so I'm saying my prayers that it's a done deal. Need a sale.

Yes in truth most customers are fine it's the bad ones that disheartening you

my memory was always one of my better qualitys my dad always said I could have did a lot with such a good memory

I'm sure the golf will fine

    hopefully the c class sells

    keep us posted

    all the best

Great that you did David makes a change to see the dealer win rather than the consumer who is trying it on and not genuine .

I upgraded from an iPhone 6S to the budget Huawei P Smart - less than £200 brand new. Step above the iPhone in every way.

Then I dropped the bloody thing and have now upgraded to the Huawei P30 - Camera is something else. No need for a seperate camera, the pics are that good.

Would never go back to Apple after using a Huawei.

:) thanks for the reply only just noticed it . Yes I might try something else soon still undecided .

All good . Much the same as long as some stock moves seem to be having an easier life than yourself with all the scammers fraudsters and problems with cars . How did you get on with the golf and c class I'm Sure it will turn around Soon .

  11. I had it years ago with £1800 Astra kept coming back with faults had some profit in it at the time I payed a mechanic to fix a few things offended the guy a full refund inc his tax has the car back and drove it 2 days i knew the car was ok and was just going to run it myself for a.bit . He would. Not accept said grandson loved the car so I asked him to sign to say I had offered him a full refund including his tax which he refused never heard from him again . Then I heard later from a local lad that said grandson has been racing the car with his friends at a local country park ..still think to this day the he was making up faults

    :D

Back when I was 18 me and some mates installed a windscreen with No Nails, was a quality job

Could you not find the gaffer tape that day lol :lol:that made me smile remember when I worked in a local garage an old Audi came in with a bean can and tying wire to fix a blow in the exhaust . For mot if failed on so many points we sold him an escort estate at the time sadly the owner or mot tester are no longer with us happy times back then the owner was a car painter and had alcohol issues .actually the escort came back and was sold again to a painter and decorator when the original owner lost his licence for drink driving .

Am i liable if she tells hers garage to start the work without my authority ?

Apologies for all the questions i know cars and i know how to sell but legal is not my strong point.

My advice would be You should write in the terms and conditions of the sale that the car has to be returned to you for inspection by you or a garage off your choice  .  As per your situation as it stands  I would just collect asap refund and put it behind you .
