You won’t get rich but Zafiras are usually nice steady money, a few weeks in stock, little interest but a man always pops-up out of the blue.

Make sure the recall has been done & plaster the fact it has been across the advert - many haven’t been & the buyers simply can’t be arsed doing it themselves in my experience - also you don’t want your customers taking a car for a recall & being treated to a Vauxhall dealership’s money making attempts, a.k.a. free health check.

You can bet your bottom dollar it needs the brakes doing or a tyre on the fhc .

thats the favourite ones they told me a tyre needed replaced at a Peugeot dealer when had a car in for warranty work.

I asked for the tread depth they said its on 4 mil

Got another one for px on another car. 2006 Vito Dualiner 121k miles. It's down as a panel van, but there's windows in the back and a row of seats. Looks like a minivan but AT says panel van.

Looks nice, but he wants £6k for it.

Where are the people with cash?!

On holiday in there day vans lol sure one will be along soon .

As it stands, he's gone silent. Think I would have passed anyway, but thanks for that. It would never have crossed my mind to see who fitted the seats.

Get it bought and get yourselfs a holiday lol .:):D:lol:

then sell it and make your fortunes

I spent around £1,000 on the AutoSmart van the other week - he gave me one (yes one) free air freshener.  Geez, thank you.

Still got gazillions of WWise ones but refuse to use them because they probably don’t actually smell, just like their warranties don’t actually pay.

You would have thought he could have stretched to a couple .

I would have had you down as more of a 'cologne' kind of guy....? ;)

That could work lol couple of sprays in the carpets. Got some from the barbers the other day . Lol

I'm sure I seen a review for a car cologne air freshener it was shaped like a little after shave bottle . You also get cool water fragrance too

I assume it’s a Transit Mk6 based.  Main thing is who fitted the seats in the back, new conversions have to be crash tested but there are still people just fitting anything and they can be lethal in a collision.

i would also be checking it has working A/C as I have seen conversions without in the past and they are hard to love on.

I forgot about this bought a transit once and had to send it to a seat specialist to get it checked and get a certificate thing for the seats .

cant remember they removed them refitted them and the did all the checks and issued a safety certificate

We use rear window stickers and number plates if the old ones are tatty But usually just the stickers. As we are registered as a numberplate supplier it does lead to the occasional phone call from someone wanting numberplates which we don’t do. Only for our own cars.

Ive had the too . Only registered to put plates my own cars and get the odd call I just refer them to the next closest supplier .I tend to like you only change them if there there tatty or on newer stuff I buy from the factors but did look into getting a basic plate printer . Sometimes buy them online if the person wants 3d 4d etc

  7. I think it does put off some people . Like you said the older ones were good

I think there still ok sellers well up here anyone .

A lot of the local dealers are still buying them and they still seem to buy them at the block.

Yours should sell on miles .

If it were me I would just check all the recalls etc have been done and documented even tell the customer there more than welcome to phone vauxhall and check .

good luck hope you do alright with it .

    keep us all posted .

The best stuff I have found is a lemon oil from laundry suppliers. It is £30 a litre but you only need a couple of squirts into the rear footwells. I get loads of comments from customers saying how nice and natural the scent is.

Yes as Arfur says sounds interesting. Who do you use to supply it and what brand is it etc

Interesting, can you send link to your source?

I have tried them... but I've found an odour remover / eater is better to get rid of smells.... seriously Zoflora pet odour eater / disinfectant is the bees knees, oh and I don't have shares....

Yes will certainly try the Zoflora sounds really good thanks for the advice was just another thought with the foggers .

You want to watch him, he's obviously catching up.

    He'll be doing pinstripes next!

Its an age thing I guess.

I do feel guilty though with the total waste of plastic I create dumping the old plates. Heard of one guy who somehow incorporated them into repairing doors using them as a flat panel to apply filler against!

Safe to say, I never used him.

Probably lol and a bit of red or yellow paint on the drums and callipers on a £400 fiesta.maybe even go all out all colour code them ,

instead of a golf gtl or something thats meant to have them .

  11. I also remember off a guy who sell cheapies .

he would put a bit of white or yellow insulation tape over the previous name .

Or over the big tommy etc that some people put on there cars .

last time I visited him he had advanced to one of those label print machines you can use around the house and office ..

What surprises me more is when people DO NOT remove those awful Arnold Clark stickers.

I had a choice of decal and went for individual letters with no backing.  I think the classier they look, the more likely they will remain.

Cost is £3 a car vs. £0.50 per car for one on a plain background.

First thing I remove when I buy a car .

Thing is you see a lot of half arnold clark stickers on rear windows up here .

With the other half ripped torn or missing why not just take the rest off .

Mark you can not beat a full Scottish breakfast or any good breakfast for that matter .

They are horrific and look so cheap and nasty stuck on the outside of the window. I know they are bright and eye catching - but for all the wrong reasons!

Fortunately they are a rare sight down here in Cornwall!

If you ever asked they will say it either blocks the view or "I'm not advertising for you!". Fine, but don't be my "mate" next time you want a deal.

Unfortunately, I perceive it as a customer who wouldn't want it to be known they had bought from an indy. Oh the shame!

Would rather the neighbours thought they had been to a main dealer.  Funny how they are always too tight spend out on changing the plates as well though!

Funny you should mention that one of guys I speak to at auction .

Changes the plates to dealer plates on Prestige stuff buying the plates from the dealer and changing them from lex auto lease etc

Strange thing is he has his own garage workshop mot station and has his own plate printer which prints company details  on plates .

Guess there is an element of snobbery with the neighbours right enough .

Well I’m on my 5th oil drinker now. It’s a shame as it actually drives perfect, and I love the drive of the Tfsi engine. Responsive, Smooth and very nippy.

When you see Trade Vet again, tell him to come back here

Please use some full stops, it is too early in the morning to work out where a sentence stops and starts - it’s like reading (listening) on speed. :P

Sorry Mark and everyone for the punctuation.

Ill stand in the corner lol and try to do better .. :D .

Punctuation was never my strong point  I have to admit .

    Thanks everyone for replies .
