As I understand it diesel cars have to be Euro 6 compliant to be exempt from clean air zone and low emission zone charges.  For a diesel to be Euro 6 compliant it cannot emit more than 80mg/km (0.08 grams per kilometre) of NOx gases, while a petrol can emit no more than 60mg/km.

    https://www.buyacar.co.uk/cars/euro-6-emissions-standard-cars/522/what-are-euro-6-emissions-standards-why-you-need-to-know

So presumably selling diesels that are Euro 6 compliant should be OK?  Trouble is that even BlueMotion cars seem to have higher emissions than that!

Euro 6 diesels are 65 plate and above

Anyway, OP's question dealt with, next. Is it a local car? Never ceases to amaze me how often that gets asked and why it's important, maybe it's a Welsh thing, Justin???

Oh yes this 1 and do you know why the last customer sold it or traded it in:blink:

I definitely know your pain there, mate. I've never had a good past with any landlord in my past. I moved a while back into Washington and I was renting a place there, had a job as a welder in a nearby factory, all was brilliant. I won't go into too much detail but I and my landlord had a bit of a conflict... So I got kicked out, I didn't want anything to do with him. At the time I just wanted to go to my mate's house with all my things, he wasn't in town but he gave me a copy of his key a while back. (we are close and good friends) so I had a look and decided on renting a car at Enterprise car rental DCA which was a lifesaver. I was lucky at the time I got into a hot deal, slightly lower price. Later found out that they have way more special deals. I was glad that I came across their service. Whenever I will be in need of transport for the day I can always book a car online. Such a shame that I wasted so much money on other services that were trying to rip me off my money. All of that is in the past now, I am happy with what I got.

Is this a car dealer forum or a place for useless people:unsure:

It doesn’t help you, it never will. Somebody selling 5 cars in one day, 300 miles away from you, will have no bearing on whether you are doing something right or wrong. I’m completely with Justin, no point in knowing how others are doing and comparing it to you. I like to know how my trader mates on here are doing just because, well, they’re mates/acquaintances but that’s all it is. If you’re not selling cars is it ok, if nobody else is? Will that pay your bills?

I had my best month last month. I’m possibly going to have my worst this month. A month is too shorter a period of time to assess your performance anyway. Three months minimum in my eyes.

    Agree

  5. January, February and March best start to the year ever for us April wasn't to bad but this month has died with only 4 sold and to top it off with the last price brigade can only see it being the worst month of the whole year I am hoping it will pick up. Diesel now are a no for us as the new emissions charges come in to Leeds January 2020 and other parts of the country so we have started to buy a few hybrids and to be honest they are having the most interest but not cheap stock as lots of dealers are doing the same

    Tony,

Check the V5 reference number and issue date on HPI to see if it's the latest issued V5 for that car.

If it is, I believe you'll be ok to use it.

Why don't you just try it on the online system? See if you can get past the reg and reference number page?

Just tried it comes up with vehicle details not recognised :(

    It won’t be the latest.

You can apply for V62 (customers name) in a post office and having that old V5 will save you the £25 fee.

Yes used to do this in the past but was curious to see if would work with the online system, will just use the v62 when sold and a trip to the post office

  7. Hi all, purchased a car from bca knowing it had an old style v5 the blue 1 just wondering if we can still sell the car using this document reference number or do we apply for a new 1? Long time since we had a blue v5 and was fine when we used to use post office but now it's all done online and don't know if we can use it when transferring ownership

    This.

Had a similar issue a while back posted on here. Found a company not to far from us drove car to them and they removed it and sorted it £175. If you don't have anybody local then send it via post if you can remove it

Because the thread title was specific about Boost Ads I thought I'd mention that there is cost involved for anyone that doesn't know much about this.

I've said it many times on forums before: the only thing worse than a very expensive advertiser that works is a very cheap one (or free) that doesn't.

You must be doing very very well to be panicking after having had no interest in 9 days.

Anyway, I had a look at your advert. Clicked off it as soon as I saw your description is A MIXTURE of CAPITAL AND lower CASE LETTERS.

    True so did I.

9 days advertised and not a sniff we have a couple of cars that have been here for over 3 months and not a sniff apart from yesterday when some 18 year old turned up and was like can i take the audi a3 slinefor a test drive I've never driven a audi before. You know what happened next
